Ripping what passes for thinking by the Left is kind of a hobby for me......and one of my guilty pleasures is poking fun at the dunces who support the socialists like Occupy Wall Street.

You know...the derelicts who want to steal....er, confiscate...the earned incomes of the folks they like to call "the top 1%."

The OWS dopes, and their enablers like Soros, Obama and Pelosi, don't really know who the top 1% are.....or what they actually make.

BTW...." The top 1 percent of American households had pretax income above $394,000 last year. The top 10 percent had income exceeding $114,000." Richest 1% earn biggest share since Roaring '20s

And our ersatz socialists hate-hate-hate those rich folks! Bet they're getting the pitchforks and torches out right now!

They may want to read this:

1. "With OT, 4 S.F. nurses made $300,000 in a year

2. Police officers and firefighters have been San Francisco's highest-paid city workers for years, thanks to overtime, premium pay and hefty vacation buyouts, but now they've been overtaken by another group -nurses.

3. 10 nurses earned more than $250,000 in fiscal 2010-11. Four of the nurses made more than $300,000.....

4. According to the Health Department, they worked an average of 67 1/2 hours a week.
[If they worked 48 weeks, counting time off for holidays and vacations, that's $92.50 an hour!]

5. The Public Health Department also had the highest-paid city worker. Dr. Denis Bouvier, at Laguna Honda Hospital, earned $332,331....

6. Although the Public Health Department scored the most workers making more than $250,000, the Fire Department .... still managed an impressive showing.

7. Eleven firefighters made the list, led by Assistant Chief Arthur Kenney at $301,811.

8. 259 city execs and workers made more than $200,000 last year, and 2,325 city workers made more than $150,000 - plus benefits.
[To add benefits, estimate 27% more, and add that to salaries.]

9. ... the city's labor costs still went up $25 million last year - largely because of rising pension and health care costs.

10 .... where their employees are represented by SEIU, those nurses, firemen and policemen can count that overtime pay during their final year of work in calculating their retirement pay, allowing them to retire at well over $100,000 a year, probably close to $200,000 in this case.

In San Francisco as elsewhere in our nation, SEIU is doing what it does best -- bleeding the taxpayers dry!"
SEIU at Work Abusing the Taxpayers: With OT, 4 San Francisco nurses made $300,000 in a year

Connecting the dots:

a. If those nurses, firemen, and police are married....especially to each other....they are well into the "1 %" category!!

b. Obama and Pelosi thought it was a great idea to rail against those awful "1 %ers"!

c. BTW....SEIU elected Obama: they spent $60.7 million to elect him....and some morons ar complaining about corporations spending money on political campaigns.

What a country!

that's it. i am becoming a nurse. the dollars will roll in. yippie!

What???

I thought you'd jump at being a 'smoke eater'!!

Especially a retired one...

The Wall Street Journal notes that the average San Jose police officer or firefighter who retired since 2007 is earning a $95,336 pension. Not bad, especially since these employees often retire early, meaning they'll collect this money longer than most retirees. In some cases, public sector retirees get out early enough that they can get another job while collecting their generous pensions.
