You can't just scream "socialism" anytime we have a program that benefits all Americans in common. NPR/PBS has brought us all high-quality programs for decades, but don't scream about the advantages handed to corporations.
NPR/PBS do not, in any way, shape, or form, benefit all Americans. At most, about 40%. They have said they only receive 2% of their funding from taxpayers so they will not miss anything.

As I said, the current administration is conspiring to strip the LGBT community of its rights and protections just because the trash cults hate them, but they are Americans equal to the rest of us. President Obama was not, in any sense, a failure. Although obstructed at every turn by republicans, who met the night of his inauguration to plot how to ensure that he only served one term, he tried to achieve improvements in the lives of Americans and bolster our international reputation, and he did a good job of it.
