Why Do Trump Supporters Have Such A Hard Time Admitting He's A Convicted Felon?

The Trump convictions are bogus because of the people and methods they used to convict him. The people who convicted him were identical to the people who convicted Alexander Solzhenitsyn in the Soviet Union.
What a load of BS. There have been 6 other cases in New York for which those people were charged and found guilty of the same crime that Trump committed. The only difference is that Trump was the only person that had been president before.

Breaking an "established" law is not a "bogus" thing. Trump was found GUILTY by his peers (not by the judge). These people were shown the evidence and were shown the laws broken and THEY found him guilty. There is no bogus in that.

Here are the other 6 people found guilty of the SAME crime:
  • L. Dennis Kozlowski, former CEO of Tyco International, convicted in 2005 for hiding compensation to avoid taxes.
  • Clarence Norman Jr., a former New York assemblyman, convicted in 2005 for concealing illegal campaign contributions.
  • Steven Croman, a landlord who pleaded guilty in 2017 to falsifying business records as part of a mortgage fraud scheme.
  • Arthur Cohen, an attorney charged in 2023 with stealing from his firm and falsifying records to hide the theft.
  • Jason Holley, convicted by a jury in 2016 for falsifying business records.
  • Maria F. Ramirez, convicted in 2010 for creating false business entries to return items for store credit. ]
Check them out and then compare them with Trump's crimes and you will find them all the same!!!

Never said it was.

As a matter of fact in the post you quoted I said: "If Trump hadn't attempted to hide the payments by laundering the money through his business organization and had just written a check to Cohen at the time of the execution of the NDA, he wouldn't have committed a felony."

Trump wasn't charged with paying for an NDA.

WW

It's not illegal to "hide" a legal NDA.

because we know the conviction is nothing more than Marxist style lawfare ...

It's not illegal to "hide" a legal NDA.

Never said it was.

It is and was illegal to falsify business records to hide another crime in New York. He wasn't convicted for the NDA, he was convicted for money laundering through his business the payments to Cohen for Cohen's felonious crime.

As a matter of fact, I've said twice now: "If Trump hadn't attempted to hide the payments by laundering the money through his business organization and had just written a check to Cohen at the time of the execution of the NDA, he wouldn't have committed a felony."

in Trump's payments to Cohen.

Mortgage fraud? Agreed.

Federal Felony Campaign Fraud? You are wrong, Cohen was convicted of it in a court of law..

Theft? No one said anything about theft.

Trump laundering the money through his business to hide Cohen crime? Yes, that is a a felony under New York State law.

You did. You said he "laundered".

"If Trump hadn't attempted to hide the payments by laundering the money through his business organization and had just written a check to Cohen at the time of the execution of the NDA, he wouldn't have committed a felony."

The NDA wasn't illegal. Paying for the NDA wasn't illegal. "Hiding" NDA payments isn't illegal.

The FEC didn't charge Cohen for campaign fraud. Cohen didn't donate to the campaign.

Trump laundering the money through his business to hide Cohen crime?

Which Cohen crime?

I agreed, Trump wasn't charged with attempting to hide the NDA. He was charged with an convicted of felonious business record falsification for tryijng to hide Cohen's crime by laundering the money through his business enity.

I know you will not get it on purpose, but I'll try again. Trump wasn't charged based on the NDA, he was charged for using his business to hide Cohen's crime.

WW

The FEC didn't say Cohen made an "in kind" contribution.

I don't give a rats ass what the "FEC" said or didn't say.

Cohen was charged in Federal District Court and convicted of the charge. Criminal violations are not within the purview of the FEC has they have civil enforcement power. Criminal prosecution is done by law enforcement through the courts.

There seems to be a lot of self-denial about his convictions. Why can't his supporters admit the truth--that he was convicted on all 34 charges by a DC court.
Will this fact also follow the election result deniers path of massive resistance at first and now a comparatively few still hold out that Trump won the 2020 election?
He was falsely convicted on all 34 counts.

Happy now?

Why are Trump Deranged people unable to admit the underlying crime that prompted those 34 convictions is a fiction?

Right. So why is paying Cohen from his business a crime?

He was charged with an convicted of felonious business record falsification for tryijng to hide Cohen's crime by laundering the money through his business enity.

Legally paying a legal business expense isn't laundering anything.

Trump didn't tell Cohen to make a campaign contribution.
Cohen didn't make a campaign contribution.
Trump didn't reimburse Cohen for making a campaign contribution.
Trump is allowed to spend as much of his own money on his own campaign as he wants.
No need for strawman contributions.

If Trump told Cohen to make a contribution to another candidate and then reimbursed him, that would be illegal.

He pled guilty to that fake charge to get a reduced sentence on his real charges.

What was the underlying crime that Trump committed that caused 34 misdemeanors to become felonies?

Welp, I can see you are disassociated with reality. When you get to the point where you call charges and conviction "fake" because you can't accept that Cohen committed a crime and that Trump was convicted of attempting to hide that crime by through his actions (for which he was charged and convicted by a jury of 34 counts), there is not much I can do to help.

Have a nice day.

You question is poorly framed, I assume on purpose, because Trump didn't have to commit that crime that he was attempting to hide, the crime can be commited by others.
