Zone1 Why do some people hate the Jews?

Jews rise from poverty to wealth because of talent.
…..and motivation, good values, and discipline.

My parents grew up the children of impoverished Jewish immigrants, who arrived on these shores fleeing violent antisemitism, as did their entire circle of friends. Within the space of 10 years, they went from life in a tenement as teens to college-educated professionals with a house in the suburbs.

Wait. Weren't you the one arguing that intelligence isn't a functional advantage?
You evolve intelligence, you develop culture. Man is generally not subject to natural selection pressures, he competes with technology and cultural adaptation.

You Deny Others' Decline Because America Is in It Now

The Jews aren't a race; they are an IQ-percentile. They began as inventors of everything started in Sumeria.
So if Jews aren't a race what are they? Is every high-IQ individual a Jew? Does their religion give them IQ points? Do Christians get those same points? What did they invent in Sumeria?

You evolve intelligence, you develop culture. Man is generally not subject to natural selection pressures, he competes with technology and cultural adaptation.
Are you sure about that?

Humans are still subject to natural selection pressures, though culture and technology have significantly altered and, in some cases, reduced these pressures. While modern medicine and infrastructure help individuals survive, natural selection continues through variations in fertility, mortality, and adaptations to environmental factors like diet and disease.

Key Aspects of Ongoing Human Selection:
  • Cultural Dominance: Culture, including technology and social structures, acts as a major, sometimes dominant, influence on selection pressures.
  • Examples of Recent Evolution:
    • Lactase Persistence: The ability to digest milk into adulthood developed in pastoralist cultures and is a clear example of genetic adaptation.
    • High-Altitude Adaptation: Populations in areas like Tibet have evolved adaptations to live in low-oxygen environments.
    • Disease Resistance: Ongoing exposure to pathogens continues to shape the human immune system.
    • Physical Changes: Studies indicate slight, ongoing changes in reproductive timing and physiology.
  • Changed, Not Removed: While we have reduced the impact of the environment, pathogens that cause pre-puberty mortality still drive selection.
  • Reproductive Differences: Variations in reproduction rates (who has children and how many) remain a primary driver of natural selection.

In summary, human evolution has not stopped; rather, the nature of our environment has shifted to include complex cultural and technological factors, changing the "rules" of our evolution rather than deleting them.

You evolve intelligence, you develop culture.
Do the societies or cultures with higher levels of intelligence have a functional advantage over societies or cultures with lower levels of intelligence? And wouldn't that be even more pronounced in a technological age?

And wouldn't that play a large role in the event of a worldwide war? Isn't one society defeating another society an example of how the world's gene pool can be altered over a short period of time?

Is one society defeating another society anymore or less moral than wolves eating sheep? Can't an argument be made that allowing morals to affect natural outcomes is actually thwarting natural selection?

You evolve intelligence, you develop culture. Man is generally not subject to natural selection pressures, he competes with technology and cultural adaptation.
Intelligence is about 50% inherited, and 50% nurtured.
