Why do so many here want the Obama boat to sink???

I am not a republican or a democrat.

Here is what I don't understand.

The past administration drove this country into the ground.

I am not a big Obama fan, but shouldn't we at least give the guy a chance?

Why are soo many people here hoping and praying that he fails?

We are all in the same sinking boat.

Shouldn't we all be cheering for him to turn the country around and get us out of this mess ?

Nobody wants him to "sink". Pure speculation in an attempt to incite an "us vs. them" argument on your part.

People simply want somebody competent, and so far, he's not that. Y'all said "Give him at least a month. Geeze." Then y'all said "Give him a couple months." Here it is 6 months later, and he's still done squat.

The good news is I don't think he'll be elected to a second term. Even Democrats are pissed off at the lack of anything substantial on his part.

You're right. The past administation was poorly led and spent way to much money. This one makes that one look enlightened.

Obama was elected as a change, but instead of spending way too much, he is spending way, way, way to much. He said he'd get us out of Iraq. He is continuing Bush's policies. He said he would be uniter. He is a partisan hack. He said he would have a trasparent administration. What have you seen that he did not put inot the public domain himself?

He is a liar, his associates are criminals, he is incompetent, he has no plan, he has no control over his majorities in the Congress, he is politicaly inept and deliberately deceptive.

What else do you need to see of this imbecile? Bush was no prize, but i feel that he was a devoted patriot with a penchant for spending tax dollars. Obama is a Chicago political machine political partisan hack with no moral compass and no love for his country.

By seeing that Bush was not a great President does not anoint Obama. He came to office with a mandate and an opportunity which he squandered in favor of political pay offs, graft, bribes and favors. We needed an inspired leader and got this. Obama is the puppet of Pelosi and Ried and he will get what he has earned by virtue of his leadership abilities.

Bush was leading us into socialism too, just not at the pace Obama has set. The last 8.5 years may go a long ways to explaining why so many are searching for alternatives to the two parties. You are failing to see the watershed.

In my opinion, I was willing to give Obama the benifit of the doubt for at least a year minimum.

6 months is too short of a time to judge his performance.

But if he hadn't turned things around by the end of his second year.

Then I would take back any support I had for him and chalk up his term as a failure.

The $787 billion dollar no stimulus, stimulus bill that he pushed to have signed before anyone had the chance to read it. Now that's what must be the "transperency" that he was talking about. BTW, it's not working, 76% of Americans want that money returned in order to do their own stimulating of the economy.

The $410 billion dollar omnibus bill, that Bush refused to sign, because of the 9,000 earmarks in it. Remember Obama, " I will not sign anything with earmarks." Well he signed it.

The Cap and Trade, just a punishment tax put on utilities that will increase every american family's utility rates by about $1,200 to $3,000 per year. Plus, it won't reduce carbon emmissions because the other industrialized nations have thumbed their noses at this lunitic idea.

You need to wake up sunni man, your children and grandchildren are going to be the ones paying for this insanity and this insanity is something that this country just can not afford.

Did you know that Obama has outspent ALL PREVIOUS PRESIDENTS COMBINED, in his first year as President?

Now he wants to add an additional 1 trillion dollars, according to the congressional budget office numbers to the national debt to cover his national health care plan that he states won't be a take over of the health care system.
