There was a cashier at a store in my old town who actually believed that she and her "wife" would be able to make a baby with only their DNA -- the two of them. I asked how and she explained what she thought the process was. I said that sounded expensive and I asked how they thought they could do that on their salaries.
She smiled and said, "The stupid taxpayers will pay for it."
The funniest part was, she was fired from that job shortly after that, and I ran into her about a year later and asked how her "wife" was doing, and they were split up.
Right. Great parenting material for me to spend my tax dollars on.

How would you feel about laws that kill men???? How would you feel if men were dying in hospital parking lots because the treatment for heart attack was banned. No doctor would treat a man having a heart attack, and they won't even admit them to hospital for fear of facing 10 years in jail. After all, if he had eaten better and exercised, he wouldn't be having a heart attack at all. He brought this on himself.
The most dangerous thing a woman can do is have a baby. Every pregnancy puts your life at risk, and Republicans have made things worse. The death rate for pregnant women from pregnancy complications, already 3 times higher than any other first world nation, has DOUBLED in abortion ban states.
Infant death rates in Texas, in the first year of life, have increased 20% as women are being forced to carry non-viable pregnancies to term, only to watch their babies die in their arms.
Last but not least, yours access to medical care in life threatening circumstances should not vary according to the state you live in. Reproductive health care should never be decided by people who have never been and will never be pregnant in their entire lives because they're NOT QUALIFIED TO MAKE THESE DECISIONS.

What makes your post so laughable is that you seem to believe that any straight couple would be a better parent than a lesbian or a gay couple. Such an idea is provably false and more than a little condescending.
50% of all white married couples divorce, which makes having children with any spouse a crap shoot at best. 60% of non-custodial parents aren't paying child support, leaving 60% of children living in a single parent homes with no support from non-custodial parents.
Having a child with someone is a lifelong commitment, not just to the child, but to your spouse as well. He/She will forever be the parent of your children, and he/she will forever be part of your life. The number of children of divorce who end up "in the middle" and screwed up by the divorce, knows no limits.
I have a friend with two young kids, whose father has become alcoholic and abusive since they had children, who now fears he will try to take her kids away, because she's struggling financially as a result. It's a scenario I've seen play out in multiple divorces and separations. Poor girl marries rich guy and has kids. He goes after the kids after they split, because he has the resources to do so, but the issues which lead to the divorce play on after the split further damaging the children.
But let's pretend that all straight marriages are much, much better than any other kind of family. All straight marriages are like 1950's American sitcoms. Father knows best. Mother is always kind and helpful, and the families live in a world where all problems are solved in 30 minutes.
