Most lower income whites support Trump because of Trump's stand on two issues: affirmative action and illegal immigration. Trump wants to end both.

Affirmative action does not create opportunities. It takes them from better qualified whites and gives them to less qualified blacks. In the United States the average black IQ is 85. The average white IQ is 100. That, rather than white racism, explains the persistence of black poverty. If Trump is successful in ending affirmative action, millions of blacks who owe their jobs to affirmative action will be fired. That will open opportunities for low income whites.

All immigration, not only illegal immigration, lowers wages and raises housing costs. It is as simple as the law of supply and demand.

I am not a Trump supporter. My hatred for Trump is visceral. I hate the sight of him. I hate the sound of his voice. Nevertheless, I understand his appeal to whites who are not rich, and who never will be.

While the Democrat party has become the party of the rich elitists, the academics in their ivory towers, the Wall Street bankers, the unelected bureaucrats, and rich lawyers who are completely out of touch with the majority of people in this country.

So why would anyone be surprised that Trump is now serving another term?

The Republicans are still the party of Wall Street Bankers and rich lawyers. Those are the people who benefit from Trump's tax cuts for the rich.

That's a tired, old, false narrative that's been debunked so many times over. Get with the program. This is 2025, not 2017.

“Democrats in Washington are once again recycling the same tired talking points that House Republicans are prioritizing tax cuts for the wealthy when, in reality, extending the Trump tax cuts delivers the biggest relief to working-class Americans and small businesses in a generation. Full stop. Democrats have spent years claiming they will not raise taxes on Americans making less than $400,000, but they are now united behind doing exactly that.

“The American people know Republicans, not Democrats, are the party of the working class and overwhelmingly voted for a return to President Trump’s economic playbook in November. Working families making less than $30,000 saw the largest tax cut of any income group thanks to the 2017 Republican tax law, and extending those tax cuts and delivering on President Trump’s campaign promises will provide those families with additional relief and economic certainty. It’s time for Republicans to unite behind the House budget resolution so we can unleash our nation’s economic potential and usher in the Golden Age of America.”

If you are a lower-income white who has failed in life despite having all the advantages of White Privilege, AA and Immigration aren't the problem.

Nothing is keeping you from taking those shit entry level jobs that immigrants are doing. You just don't want to do them.

The problem is, if you are upset about these things, that you lost because for the last 50 years, Republicans have been making war on the working class while getting you upset about the darkies, then you have no one to blame but yourself.

Lower income whites who attend klan meetings, marry their cousins, chain smoke cigarettes and drink cheap beer vote for Trump

In a way you are correct....The reason whites don't want those "black" jobs is because of their location....Chocolate Blue Run Cities.

I'd rather be less well to do than to live in those places.....For example, the only working folks I know that actually work in DC leaves it at the end of the work day and commutes back to where they live in Virginia.

At least Trump is trying to bring good manufacturing jobs back to America and most will be out in the hinterlands away from the Chocolate Blue Run Cities.

Warts and all, there was something to be said of the old "factory towns".

Of course you hate them because the ones left are gop strongholds instead of formerly dem strongholds.....You might want to ponder on why that's the case.

Biden had an awesome 4% unemployment rate

Don't worry, Trump will screw that up, so you should start working on your excuses now.

Biden's "shit entry level jobs that immigrants are doing" sucked. Most were part time jobs.
That's why the Democrats got fired.

Affirmative action does not create opportunities.
My best guess is that Trump gives them a handy scapegoat for their failures and frustrations. It's those other people.

I do wonder if they think that they'll become wealthy because of him, if he's somehow aspirational. They definitely do appear to think that he cares about them.

There sure were and are a lot of mobile homes with Trump signs in the front. I'd love to know what they're expecting after this, especially when their Medicaid is cut.

Perhaps, a full time job in manufacturing or energy production? Would you deny them that?

Because middle class WORKING people are tired of seeing their INCOME CONFISCATED and redistributed to every blood sucking leech with his hand out.

Your last paragraph tells me TDS is real and you aren't well

They/Them over and over and over and over and over and over and over again and again and again and again.
Never ONCE mentioning US.
We're all in this TOGETHER.
It is high time we RECOGNIZE that FACT.

If DOGE revealed anything, it proves we have MILLIONS ON BOTH ENDS OF THE ECONOMIC SPECTRUM with their HAND OUT looking for a payout from the federal government

So, if you already know why lower income whites are Trump supporters, WHY ask the question????

I support Trump because he doesn't use US CITIZENS AS HIS PERSONAL ATM, as all the others do.
I support Trump because he wants to clean out the corruption and upgrade the government from the 60's to the 21st century.
I support Trump because he wants to PROTECT this country from invaders of all kinds.
I support Trump because he wants to get rid of taxes the best way he is able, without crippling the system.
I support Trump because he is in service TO THE PEOPLE of this country, NOT lording over us, lying to us, and trying to destroy us any way he can, as the others have done.
