I've paid far more into both SS and Medicare than I will ever see in benefits; I would have preferred privatized accounts for which I could have directed investments. And as I am not a Veteran, I don't expect any VA benefits - but I fully support these for our Veterans who served our country. They earned VA benefits as part of their compensation packages.
