Because no one knew who was susceptible, how exactly the virus spreads and who it affects. The uncertainty of how the younger children could acquire it and spread it to their teachers, administrators, faculty, their parents, grandparents, neighbors. In other words, it was done out of an abundance of caution. Look at things now. Rising infection rates in a lot of states. Studies out that show children under the age of 10 can carry the virus in their nasal passages in higher loads. Some studies out that show children 10 and up can carry and pass the virus along just the same way adults do. The bottom line here (as with just about any other virus) is that kids are great spreaders.

No one cheers for abortion. Last I looked, you couldn't get pregnant from coughing, sneezing, or talking close to another human being. There are many ways for anti-abortionists to aid in reducing the need for abortions. As of yet, there is no magic bullet for COVID-19. Only the recommendations of the health professionals to help reduce and prevent the spread. And so far, a lot of Americans are being selfish and ignorant. Hence the rising death toll.

facts... The number of abortions reported by the CDC in the U.S. for 2013 is 664,435. This equates to 1,820 abortions each day.
