Did you see that video -- pretty long -- of the black police guy, quite unarmed, backing away upstairs, stairway after stairway as two or three invaders came at him? At one point he grabbed a broken piece of wood and sort of waved it ineffectually, but after he retreated three full stairwells, I started thinking, don't you have to make a stand at some point? He never made a stand, he never stopped them, he just ran.
