Not forgiving yourself is a form of pride. It is saying that you know better than God or that your sin is greater than His mercy.

But that said, if you have such deep guilt over a serious, mortal sin, you really should feel bad. And it needs to be confessed and the sin rejected absolutely. Then many rosaries should be prayed to get you into a spiritually good place

As I recall, there’s a string of beads and with each bead, you say a prayer (I think was The Hail Mary) until you get to the white bead at which time you say The Lord’s Prayer before going back to The Hail Marys.

Rosary prayers are a guide to meditation and contemplation of the Gospels and the life of Jesus. It assists in keeping one focused. The formal meditations are the joys in Christ's life, the sorrows, and the glory. However, one can also choose one's own contemplation/meditation on parables, miracles, teachings. One of my favorites is the meditation/contemplation of the beatitudes. One reason to use the rosary is to keep one focused for a period of time instead of rushing through prayer intentions, praise, and thanksgiving.

All the rosaries I have ever used all have the same color of beads, so that some rosaries use a different color was something new. They are strung together in sets of ten. We begin with the Apostles Creed, the Lord's Prayer, the hail Mary, and of course end each decade with Glory to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
