1. They had last been citizens of Mandate Palestine.

2. They did not automatically become citizens of Israel on Independence Day, did they?

3. They had all become Jordanian Citizens when Jordan annexed the West Bank in 1950.

4. The 1952 Law (passed two years after they had become Jordanian Citizens) seems to have merely tied-up loose ends and closed future loopholes.

You can't take-away Israeli Citizenship from people who were never Israeli Citizens.

In 1967, despite pleas by Israel to remain neutral, on Day 2, Jordan attacked West Jerusalem and opened-up a whole can of whoop-ass; losing everything.

Then again, the Jordanians had a change of heart anyway, and, by 1988, decided to cull the herd and to revoke the Jordanian Citizenship of some 40,000 Palestinians...

It doesn't seem as though the Arabs play fair with their own kind, in matters of citizenship, so why-the-hell should their enemies, the Israelis?

That would be a complete breakdown of logic and pragmatism and common sense.

There was no reason for Israel to go along with a peace and reconciliation proposal which the other side was so visibly dead-set against.

Furthermore, Israel was not yet a member of the UN, and was not bound to abide by such an inoperative and one-sided proposal, either at the time, or afterwards.

If the Arabs wanted Israel to play along with UNR194, perhaps they should have voted for it, yes?

They foolishly gave the Israelis the excuse they needed to take and keep that land and the Jordanians should have made provision for their fellow citizens (the Palestinians) to be repatriated back across Jordan's now-shrunken borders. They did not.

Shy of exterminating the enemies in their midst, there is very little that The West (Christendom) at-large will not sit still for, as the Jews complete that re-capture - even though it is taking decades to complete.

Because, unlike Christendom and Islam, Judaism has only this one shot at survival, the Jews of Israel have to get it right, first time, every time, including control of their State.

If making official distinctions between Jews and non-Jews is what is required in order for the Jews to meet their objectives with respect to Eretz Yisrael, The West (Christendom) will overlook it sufficiently to allow the Jews to complete the job of establishing Eretz Yisrael. They won't get any special consideration beyond that point, but up to that point, well, like it or not, we (collectively) cut them a lot of slack, while they're still working on that goal.

That doesn't make it 'right' or popular or modern or fair, in our own sense of political justice, but it's not our country, and we're not under the same survival pressures.

The rest is mere detail by comparison.

And, to answer your question: rather than sending the bill to Jordan, perhaps Jordan needs to work with Israel to relocate the Palestinians in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, Gaza, etc. - onto modern-day Jordanian soil, in accordance with their Jordanian citizenship.

Strange how so many of the travelers going through the area many, many years ago saw it practically empty of people until they came to the big cities and came across mainly Jews. Even the British officials in the area reported that the Arabs came in hordes from their poor surrounding areas for the jobs the Jews had for them, much the same as we see Hispanics crossing our southern border for jobs and the immigrants that are flooding into Europe for jobs. There are two things Georgie Boy should do for us. First off, he should list for us all the Muslim governments which are free of corruption and, secondly, since he lives in one of the biggest cities in the world, he should do a little questioning of the people who have left their original countries and find out why they left. After all, Los Angeles not only has immigrants from the Middle East, Southeast Asia, China, Japan, Africa, etc., but also from England, France and Ireland. I hear there are good Ethiopian restaurants in the Fairfax district, Georgie Boy, and perhaps you can ask the owners why they left and enjoy a good meal at the same time.

Instead of believing the crap you read from you conspiracy theory sources, why don't you go to Israel and ask Jews for yourself ??

I have over 50 relatives in Israel and have been there over ten times, and I cannot tell you how many Jewish people, specially the ones in their twenties or thirties, have expressed their love for Israel and how they love living in the Jewish Homeland.
Yet every few months, I notice a thread like this popping up.
We get it, you anti - Zionist drool over the fact that Jews will start leaving Israel in large masses, but stop dreaming !
BTW, the Jewish population in Israel reached a new high about 6 or more months ago. I started the thread actually with the article showing so.

I have over 50 relatives in Israel and have been there over ten times, and I cannot tell you how many Jewish people, specially the ones in their twenties or thirties, have expressed their love for Israel and how they love living in the Jewish Homeland.
Yet every few months, I notice a thread like this popping up.
We get it, you anti - Zionist drool over the fact that Jews will start leaving Israel in large masses, but stop dreaming !
BTW, the Jewish population in Israel reached a new high about 6 or more months ago. I started the thread actually with the article showing so.

If generations of elite European Jews married their daughters off to the most brilliant Jewish intellectuals of the day, one likely consequence would be a disproportionate number of Einsteins and Chomskys. Perhaps this most recent generation of Israeli Jews firmly believes social Darwinism gives them license to apartheid?

No doubt the parents of Blacks who encouraged and then sent their children to college and whose children have received degrees and are now working at excellent jobs do not want to see these children married to lower class Blacks. They don't want someone who dropped out of school and speaks Ebonics. This is human nature. And let's be honest here. Most parents would like to see their children married to others of the same race and some parents would even like to see their children married to others of the same ethnicity. From George's remarks, I think a psychologist would say that it sounds like he is jealous of the Jews who have made a good life for themselves in Los Angeles. After all, Georgie Boy has never written on another forum how the Muslims (like the Saudis) look down on people of other religions (like the Hindus) and certainly don't think of them as equal to the Arabs. Strange how so many of the travelers going through the area many, many years ago saw it practically empty of people until they came to the big cities and came across mainly Jews.
