Yep. I was so happy to see the youth that Charlie Kirk inspired. And the road back to God. These kids knew that they were missing something.
There was a small college group that went together to the chapel. Kids started being convicted by the Holy Spirit and going to the altar to commit to Christ, and more showed up and more showed up. It went on for 2 days! And that isn't the only place. God is pouring out His Spirit, and the kids hear Jesus knocking on their door. It's wonderful.

What I do know is that transgender people who get GAC have a lower rate of suicidal ideation than transgender people who don't get it.

You can tell a poser, like @JoeB131 when they use the euphemism Gender Affirming Care. No one, repeat no one, disagrees that people with this mental illness, regardless of age, should receive counseling and mental health care.

And no one disagrees that once you achieve a majority age, you can agree to whatever medical procedures you want done on/to your body, so long as there is informed consent.

The disagreement is using surgical and hormonal treatments on minors. Thank goodness virtually all civilized nations have banned or severely limited such procedures on minors.

Except- very few minors with Gender Dysphoria are getting hormonal treatments. With 300,000 transgender youth, only 5000 are getting puberty blockers or hormones, and a lot of them are for treating other maladies, like early onset puberty. Surgeries are almost unheard of, not only because of medical reluctance to perform them on minors, but because -wait for it- Insurance doesn't cover it.

Where do you think a minor is going to come up with $30,000 to do this?

I think this will a big issue when/if Newsom actually decides to run for President.

If we were to take your logic that Gender Dysphoria is indeed a mental illness, then transgender people would enjoy full protection under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The one that requires government, businesses, etc. to make "Reasonable accommedations".

It's why schools spend hundreds of thousands on kids with learning disabilities or why a former employer I had couldn't fire a schizophrenic employee even after he stopped taking his meds.

Thankfully for you, the Gender Dysphoric aren't calling you on this, or you'd probably be screwed.
