Why 45 is better than 9mm

I've had the Trijicon RMX on my FNX .45 Tactical for years.
On my Sig AR I have the Eotech with the flip over magnifier.
While I can shoot both without my glasses the red dot gets fuzzy and a lot bigger.
If I'm shooting the AR with the magnifier engaged it's clear as can be but once I flip it over it's fuzzy.
I hate wearing glasses when I shoot but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
The only thing I hate about the Trijicon is cleaning the pistol.
You cant take it off or you have to sight it back in but cleaning the slide is damn near impossible with all the worry about getting solvent on the sight which they specifically say not to do.

Nice!!
I've been thinking about going thermal mainly for hog hunting.
Just cant justify the price until we get our retirement place.

Yeah, they are pretty spendy. A friend got me mine for wholesale, but that is still 3,700.

Yes. However both the M9 and current Sig 320 are US manufactured. They are substantially more accurate than the Government Model 1911s.

A FUDD is an old fart that shoot 1911s, bolt action or M14 rifles, and thinks the 2nd Amendment is about hunting. They also typically are about 900 years old.
Accuracy in a handgun in a combat situation isn't as important as stopping power.

Yeah I'm in the same boat when it comes to lights.
Although a full moon looks way better without my glasses. When I put em on it goes from a big glowing moon to a small dot in the sky.
You are not joking!!!
When i was a kid i would take them off at night while Dad was driving, and would watch my own personal light show.

Outside of the .454s and .50s , there really isn't a stopping power for pistol rounds. Trauma surgeons can't tell the difference between pistol rounds. Rifle rounds are different of course.

Further, your average shooter can blitz a bill drill must better with a 9mm for the same pistol weight.

Completely wrong. There IS no such thing as stopping power. If you hit someone in the hand with a .44 magnum he can keep fighting with the other hand. On the other hand if you put a .22 between his eyes, it's game over.

That's not true. Among other things a 45 round travels relatively slow and the shocking power of the big bullet stops an assault. Surgeons can easily tell the difference of a through and through rifle round

They can tell rifle rounds. They can't tell pistol rounds apart. Sorry.
