So whose robots are better, US or China's? Aren't we stupid for giving China access to the best US computer chips?

Not to mention Chinese "slaughterbots"

I think we were stupid, I just hope it isn't terminal stupidity.

Elon's "Optimus" robots are very cool, but can they do Kung Fu with weapons?

Japan's are real life like as well. Australian company has some real life like ones but are not marketed yet.

The thing I noticed is that the futuristic movies with robots always show them as less complex and less human-like than the robots we have now. In the future, the robots will probably be astonishing.

The Europeans are the best at robotics. Especially the Swiss. The Chinese are just showoffs.

So do you have any links showing off those fancy EU robots?

I posted some more in the science section. The Swiss are very clever. They have these little nano-robots, they're just like little Roomba's except they clean your blood. :p

They are impressive in the industrial realm.
I was looking for better acrobatics than the Chinese Kung Fu robots. I think Cirque du Soleil is safe for now.

Princeton University has an actual fruit fly robot, controlled by an actual fruit fly brain.

This is a fruit fly.

It has 140,000 neurons. It lives in a simulator now, called Brian2.

Only idiots are making humanoid robots for war. A wallmart drone with a glock 9mm mounted to it would be FAR more useful in war than an expensive as f*** humanoid robot.

The future of robotic warfare will not include "Terminators", no matter how cool they look.

We don't know how drone and robot warfare will evolve.
An indestructible autonomous robot beats drones every time, drones are susceptible to EMPs and other electronic disruptions.

"Robots" in war will mostly be on tank tracks, in my opinion. They are great for stairs and other uneven terrain.

In swampy, snowy, or soft terrain tracks work great. In dense forests, probably not.

...dog robots can jump obstacles...

If you see the OP, there are humanoid robots with advanced athletic capabilities, rock climbing, jumping barriers, etc.
