They scored the Best New Artist CMA award when they first started getting played on the radio in the mid 1980s, but after that, the only other time that they got to go up on stage and get anything else was in 1997 when they finally scored their own and only Group Of The Year award which was given to them by the Academy Of Country Music. I only wanted to put my arms around the lead singer because his voice was just about gone that night.
