Who’s Funding the ‘Student’ Gun Control Movement?

The event will be over-amplified by the media as much as when 1 million Tea-party people protested in Washington and media reported 60K. Bias, bias, bias.

The media are no longer talking to people that have half a brain.

There is nothing wrong with peaceable assembly.
It doesn't matter who pays for it, who prints the signs nor who makes travel arrangements.

They have the First Amendment right to do so ...
And I can help them actually protect that right with my Second Amendment rights.

It doesn't matter if they don't want that protection ... They have the same rights I do.

.

Who funds the pro-gun side of the issue? What difference does it make who funds which side unless it is to patronize or boycott one side or the other?

It serves to identify which groups are trying to run down the United States, and which are opposing it.
You are just demonizing anyone who disagrees with your point of view.

Many of them deserve demonizing. We are at de facto war with your "fundamental change" as named by Obama.

People desiring responsible background checks are not trying to run down the US.

If it were limited to that, I would have no problem, but Democrat behavior has for decades indicated other goals.

Funding issue groups are as American as apple pie.

Funding groups is as American as apple pie, but not all groups funded are as American as apple pie.
Point of freedom and democracy is that one side doesn't decide who is right and who is wrong, what is valid and what is not.

The Constitution is the deciding factor. Of course, SCOTUS decisions are as politically weighted as any other.

Never happened. Fake news. Million people did not show up. 60,000 was an accurate account.

Did you count them yourself?
As much as a civilian with limited data is able to estimate the size of a crowd in DC, yes.

So you don't know that it was an accurate count.
I know the difference between 60,000 and a million. So do public transportation folks and officials who prepare as first responders, i.e, police, fire and medical.

Of course.... These kids are so skilled at putting together all their talking points and travel plans

Buzzfeed was finally able to dig to the truth and found that these kids were indeed being coached, and not just coached, but also funded and elevated by their leftist idols.

David Hines at the Federalist explains:

On February 28, BuzzFeed came out with the actual story: Rep. Debbie Wassermann Schultz aiding in the lobbying in Tallahassee, a teacher’s union organizing the buses that got the kids there, Michael Bloomberg’s groups and the Women’s March working on the upcoming March For Our Lives, MoveOn.org doing social media promotion and (potentially) march logistics, and training for student activists provided by federally funded Planned Parenthood.

The president of the American Federation of Teachers told BuzzFeed they’re also behind the national school walkout, which journalists had previously assured the public was the sole work of a teenager. (I’d thought teachers were supposed to get kids into school, but maybe that’s just me.)

In other words, the response was professionalized.

So, who’s bankrolling the lefty kids from Parkland, Florida? It’s a veritable “Who’s Who” of leftwing money from Michael Bloomberg, to George Soros, to the baby killers at Planned Parenthood. (Emphasis is mine.)

Several large progressive organizations, donors, and a high-powered public relations firm are backing the March for Our Lives movement, which is quickly evolving from a student-run social media effort to end gun violence into one backed by some of the most influential activists in the country…

Since then, major players and organizations — including Everytown, Giffords, Move On, Planned Parenthood, and the Women’s March LA — told BuzzFeed News they are helping the students with logistics, strategy, and planning for next month’s March for Our Lives rally and beyond. Much of the specific resources the groups are providing to the Parkland students remains unclear — as is the full list of supporting organizations — but there are broad outlines.

Giffords, an organization started by former US Rep. Gabrielle Giffords that fights gun violence, is working with Everytown and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America to plan the main march on Washington — as well as sister rallies across the country…

Everytown for Gun Safety — bankrolled mostly by Michael Bloomberg — recently secured a $1 million donation from entrepreneur and philanthropist Eli Broad.

MoveOn said it will encourage its millions of members to follow and promote the March for Our Lives movement on social media and attend the rally next month. The group said it had offered support in organizing logistics such as security and portable toilets, but it is unclear if the students have taken them up on their offer.

A spokesperson for Planned Parenthood said the group is “teaching and hosting trainings” for young activists across the US “to keep momentum going so they don’t get burned out.”

Guess Who’s Funding the ‘Student’ Gun Control Movement?

The Russians are laundering money through the NRA.

Of course that wouldn’t bother trumptards at all.

Big Time Groups Behind Parkland Students

Parkland-Teens.jpg

If you've wondered why they got organized so quickly and where they got the money, this article provides a whole lot of insight. Care to know who are the major backers and organizers behind them?

Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the outfit organized by Gabby Giffords.

And the list continues to grow. Millions have been donated to their cause and the fund grows every day with money coming from progressives and their groups.

It seems to be rather spontaneous but I cannot help but think there's far more to this than meets the eye.

The article is @ The Parkland Teens Fighting For Gun Control Have The Backing Of These Huge Organizing Groups - BuzzFeed of course, not exactly a nonpartisan source.

New Rasmussen Poll: Public Blames Government For School Shooting, Not Guns @ New Rasmussen Poll: Public Blames Government For School Shooting, Not Guns

According to Rasmussen, 54% of Americans believe government failure is to “blame for the mass shooting.” Only 33% of Americans blame guns. Eleven percent of Americans say they are unsure what contributed to the occurrence of the mass shooting

I do think I read that Clooney donated $500,000 to a fund, but that area is very wealthy and the one short haired hispanic looking girls dad is a wealthy attorney. I imagine a lot of people are donating in Broward county.

Oh the protestors back during Vietnam just showed up without funding many were brought together with free concerts like Jefferson Airplane, etc.

Funding for politics and political causes should only be allowed by billionaires and for conservative or rightwing causes. A special committee comprised of anonymous rightwing social media and message board posters, conservative bloggers and rightwing propaganda news sources should be formed to make determinations about who can donate funds for political causes.

Why wouldn't they assist? This is exactly what needs to happen in this country. NRA is a monolithic lobbying group and the gun-control side has all these organizations doing their own thing and not making half as much impact. They are not household names.
If this does nothing but bring all the gun control groups under one umbrella, talking to each other and coordinating their efforts, it will be worth it.
We got a Goliath with the NRA. The gun control side needs to get giant sized fast in order to meet it.

Who funds the pro-gun side of the issue? What difference does it make who funds which side unless it is to patronize or boycott one side or the other?

You are an uneducated dope. Pedophiles are attracted to pre-pubescent children. Kids in question in this thread and topic are young adults and teenagers.
Why does this message board draw so many ignorant and stupid jerks?
