Who will win? Trump’s Illegal Push for ZERO Food Stamps: Dems fought for $6B lifeline

The top 400 Americans account for 6.6 TRILLION dollars

No doubt CEO's of health insurance providers are high on that list, given the billions, if not trillions of taxed, borrowed, and printed dollars pumped directly into their companies' bank accounts by ACA subsidies.

Not sure any of that has to do with anything

Oh.

You are unaware of the bought-out Democrats in the Senate holding the nation hostage in order to force Republican to make the temporary COVID Supplement payments to the companies of those billionaires permanent?
The CR was 100% (R) with no (D) input.
Proving the (R) won't negotiate, then blame the (D).
Art of the Deal......... **** That.

From what the public record shows, when the Continuing Appropriations and Extensions and Other Matters Act, 2026 (“CR”) was passed by the United States House of Representatives, there was essentially no input from Democrats in shaping the House version.

You don’t have a clue what a CR is, do,you?

I’m aware that the shut down is about NOT letting ACA Premiums double

The CR is the same CR the Dems have voted for already

It was the same when Democrats passed the CR's with Joe. Now it's different for some reason. A lesson to be learned is that what government gives, can be taken away for any reason. This time it is political grandstanding.

Food stamps are about TWICE the amount they should be. This is supposed to be a supplemental program, yet a mother with three little kids gets something like $800 a month.

For a weekly food allotment, one can buy: chicken and ground beef ($15j some cans of veggies and fruit ($6) a gallon of milk ($3), two boxes of cereal ($5), 2 loaves of bread ($8), a box of spaghetti and pasta sauce ($5), a package of cheese ($3), a dozen eggs ($3) and some tuna and mayo ($6).

That’s $51 for the week, and ensures nobody starves. And THAT is what SNAP IS FOR. We should not be giving away so much that recipients buy steak, expensive seafood, exotic spices, and junk food.

There should br a proposal that every food stamp family will get $50 loaded on their cards on Monday, to continue weekly through the rest of the month.

It also shows that when the government gives money to lower-income people, they start to think they’re ENTITLED to it and start to threaten to steal if the gravy train is cut off.

It is an easy but thoughtless position to criticize those who tell the truth about our felon president, a convicted rapist among other fine traits. One wonders what happened to the republicans when Trump is the best they can do. But apologists for evil are listed above in their apologies for Trump.

Link to his conviction for rape…
