Who will win? Trump’s Illegal Push for ZERO Food Stamps: Dems fought for $6B lifeline

Trump’s crew is fighting in court to gut food stamps to ZERO amid the shutdown for November, ignoring billions in contingency cash owed to 42M Americans. They lie it’s “only for disasters” bullshit, as the law says no such thing. This illegal stunt will flop hard in court.

Judges might force about 60% payouts…covers Nov.

Guess MAGA kids will have to survive off Halloween candy and Duct Tape Casserole until the GOP decides to reopen the government. Oh well.
Every Republican voted to open the GOVERNMENT ALONG WITH 5 DEMOCRATS, WHO IS KEEPING IT SHUT?

Looks like a judge says Trump has to use emergency funds to keep SNAP open.

So now, I guess we'll see.

Yeah? That judge is going to hustle their ass on down to the treasury and micromanage the nations expenses for us? Are there any other jobs this judge think they can do too? Hell if they’re going to do the budgeting maybe they can take over everything else too.

A federal judge in Rhode Island orders the Trump administration to pay SNAP benefits during the shutdown.

His order came mere minutes after another federal court in Massachusetts handed an early victory to about two dozen states, which similarly had sued to force the release of food stamp funding. In that case, Judge Indira Talwani, of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, gave the administration until Monday to explain how it would fund benefits.

“Congress has put money in an emergency fund,” Judge Talwani said during a hearing in the case this week. “It’s hard for me to understand how this isn’t an emergency, when there’s no money and a lot of people are needing their SNAP benefits.”

But it remained unclear how the judges’ rulings might shape the immediate fate of the program, which serves roughly one in eight people in the United States. In defending its actions, the Trump administration had previously suggested that it could take weeks just to provide payments in November, and that the amounts could be half as much as recipients usually receive.

The twin court defeats amounted to a major rebuke of the White House, where President Trump’s leading deputies have maintained that they could do little to save SNAP — even after taking unusual steps to rearrange the budget to sustain other programs while the government remained closed.

No need to. The regime just needs to release the emergency funds. That's why they are there.

For when the executive determines that there is an emergency and that using the funds will mitigate it.

It is not a slush fund for a low level federal judge to give cover to Dems and "not Dems" who openly state that they need poor people to suffer because that suffering is their only leverage.

Trump is lying about food stamp recipients getting zero by law in November. Why are you pretending he cares about food stamp recipients? And why do Democrats want them to get a large part of their food stamps in November while Trump wants them to starve?

No wonder you don’t want to talk about this case that is the topic of the thread’. Because it embarrasses you.
You truly are a great conservative. You care more about illegals than americans

Did this idiot judge contradict herself in her own ruling?? Haha wow…what an idiot

With that said she also made clear she thinks the Dems and Schumer are an emergency. The Dems are a crisis that needs to be addressed
