That's 1.2 million confirmed cases, not total cases. Most cases are never tested or confirmed. Only the death number has a chance of being right, but they aren't testing all the corpuses either. In NYC, they are attributing virtually all deaths to the Covid.

Responsible business owners will ensure their employees have gloves, masks, etc. We can open up with smart precautions. There will be a certain percentage (I figure about 30 to 40) who will stay away from shopping etc but that is perfectly acceptable and doesn't hurt anyone. Hey, BA. Using your kind of bullshit math, the Death Rate for influenza is a lot higher as well. After all, the vast majority of folks who come down with the flu are never confirmed by lab tests. A number of years ago, I went to the doctor with a pretty bad flu. I didn't think he could help me medically, and I was right, but I did need a doctor's note to be excused from my job for a week. I asked the man, hey, are you going me a test for the flu? He said "Hell, no, we don't do that shit. Ain't no cure for it anyhow, I'm just going to give you a scrip and tell you to go home for a week and rest up.
