Who Made Life In The U.S. Unaffordable?

Democrats did everything they could to pour gasoline on the fire, in a number of different ways.
$2.2 Trillion Dollar$ is easily more gasoline, than $1.8 Trillion Dollar$. I don't even thin "new Math" would argue with that.

It's a lot of dem policies. You can't just single one out and call it the entire cause. Yes, the national debt fuels inflation, particularly when it increases faster than GDP.

First off, it was Biden and the Democrats who had a four year inflation rate total of about 20%. So, when Trump has like 2.8% inflation, it gets added onto the inflation we already had under Democrats. So, prices under Trump are 22.8% higher than prices were four years ago. Then, you have to also consider that the blue states are the ones with higher prices and Trump can't do that much for blue state inflation. Democrats own that. The Democrats have decided that “affordability” is the issue that will win the next election cycle. Are they daft? The most unaffordable states and cities in the country are Democrat strongholds.

Well, no one ever said the Democrats weren't clueless, they just accurately know their own base is too and they have them locked in as their clueless cultist base.

Hence the phrase: "The blind leading the blind."

Affordability died when we accepted the false notion that there can exist unlimited fiat currency backed by little more than good will.

Prosperity
Desire it, pursue it, achieve it and you won’t be a sidelines sitter crying about your misfortunes and blaming others for it.

Democrats are absolutely against peace and prosperity.
Open borders are antithetical to prosperity in every way.

You aren't wrong, but-

Ours is backed up by nuclear currency.

Didn't know that "Biden and Democrats" constituted the majority of developed world.

By 2024 this was resolved and inflation Trump inherited was 2.X%

You have something about thinking in your username...why not do that?

He has like 3%+, up every month from 2.4% low in the spring, when Trump declared "Liberation Day" and vastly increased cost of imports with broad tarrifs.
Like so many, you fail to appreciate or understand how inflation rates accumulate = build up, pile upon each other. !!!

During previous Administrations no one has produced a negative (reverse growth) Inflation Rate.

No matter which Party is in Control; our Nation continues to grow Deficit and Inflation rates.

“Affordability” is the new leftard word — for now.

We should have a thread dedicated to their next faux issue.

Predictions?
Notice how the Dem propaganda pivoted overnight from 'Epstein' to 'Affordability'. Years ago that corrupt bunch of rats were caught red handed coordinating this shit in the Journolist scandal.

I’ll refrain from partisanship and insults about your intelligence to see if we can have an intelligent discussion.

  • Wages have kept up with inflation since 2019 just fine.
  • Wages spiked in 2020 leading to increased costs in 2021-2022 because people wouldn’t work under covid
The issue isnt Biden or Trump or Covid. Wages have not kept up since mid 1980s. Why?
  • Weakening of unions
  • Minimum wage stagnation
  • Policies that favor capital over wages
  • Market consolidation limiting choices and price competition
  • Technology replacing manual labor and enabling offshoring
The issue is that capital owners have captured the government and tilted every policy and favor toward them. Labor has become commoditized, disorganized, and demonized.

If labor wants to organize and vote out capitalist puppets they can. If they wont, then to the victor go the spoils and the country will get richer and richer without labor sharing in it. I don’t mind, I am a capitalist owner but if I wasnt I wouldn’t be voting in people who are out to keep me in poverty.

Good luck suckers.

The blob says “affordability is a hoax”...is he lying?

You have any examples

I think that I can name 1.
If you have, then go for it, and name that "one".

I'm thinking from personal perspective and can "name one" * ...

I spent the first couple/few years of my political awareness bouncing from one extreme to the other, but after marriage, kids, grand-kids, and jobs/careers, settled upon one take, version;

Hence I settled upon the Conservative, make more Wealth;

Hence I am one example, personal perspective .... anecdotal ....

Unless one has more Wealth, existing and in creation, it becomes difficult to "steal" Wealth from makers/creators and then giving to non-makers/non-creators to play their delusion of being "wealth" makers. If the money isn't in the Bank, then taking more from the Bank ... will just create more default and hardship.

* The "One" is myself. During the 1980-90's I often ranged between the Left and Right and hence could be seen as favoring one bank over the other. After a couple~few decades I finally settled on one take ... ;)

While that might appear to apply to one side(bank) over the other; Yet still comes down to one side over the other; will one favor~support "Makers" or "Takers" ????

My posts history here shows I lean to one side.
Care to guess which one ?
Bet I can guess where you fall ...

I'm the most conservative person here.
From 18 years of age until today.
No waiver
No variance
No change.

Affordability just means purchasing power.

And purchasing power is fundamental to any discussion regarding monetary policy and economic theory.

Are you of the view that purchasing power is a non-issue? If so, then why?
Nah. I just think it’s amusing that the Dimocraps are such mindless dishonest trolls and drones that they seek to use temporary economic fluctuations as a basis for political attacks against President Trump.

They forget that gas prices were much higher under their idiot in Chief, FJB.

AND they were silent, then.
