Who Made Life In The U.S. Unaffordable?

Trump inherited 2.x% inflation

That's "worse inflation in history"? :cuckoo:
And GDP heading to a recession

And GDP heading to a recession

Listen, why don't you just go back to fishing and leave economics to people who can at least do basic data analysis.

2025 Q1 GDP collapse (and Q2 counter-swing) was DIRECTLY related to Trump tariffs.

Carter and Biden created the worst inflation in history. Regan reversed it and Trump is in the process

Inflation is just a symptom of the disease and a political rhetoric talking point. The disease is the destruction of the USD. Something that both R & D's are guilty of.

But political loyalist don't want to discuss that, because they can't solely blame the other party for it.

The economic downturns happen when one administration spends too much, devaluing the currency. Which causes inflation.

And if there's a shit ton of spending in a presidents last year, the next president gets hit with the loss of USD value on his watch. Simple because it takes time for the USD to drop, after all that new money hits the economy.

Ok, show me your analysis in support of your GDP and inflation assertions.

Double dare you bullshit peddler.
Obamas GDP dropping like a rock when he keft office. HIs economy was app printed money called quantitative easing. These numbers are laughable

Annual real GDP growth rates during the Obama administration were as follows:
  • 2009: -2.5% (The economy was shrinking when he took office during the Great Recession).
  • 2010: +2.6%.
  • 2011: +1.6%.
  • 2012: +2.2%.
  • 2013: +1.8%.
  • 2014: +2.5%.
  • 2015: +3.1% (or 2.6% by some measures, the strongest single year of his presidency).
  • 2016: +1.6%.

Then dont complain about affordability. I can guarantee you I didnt have any issues affording life under Biden nor Trump. Anyone complaining about inflation just isnt rich enough to receive big tax breaks. Suckers. Thanks Trump!
Nearly half pay no federal taxes and get tax free credits to boot i.e. SNAP, WIC, Medicaid, and other subsidies.

I have no affordability problems (white privilege ya know).

Good. I am all in on the GOP strategy too. "Life is affordable if you have lots of money".

Per the second chart at the following link, 2009 saw mostly negative numbers on inflation, average @ -0.4
A couple months in 2015 also hit negative.

The chart shows monthly for the past 25 years; 2000 - 2025; and from @ 2009 to 2020 was low numbers, mostly in 1-2 % range.

"Worse" period was from 2021 - 2024; those four years saw a total of 19.7% inflation!

...I've literally just said it's not great.

What the **** is wrong with you?
Democrats think thats good. They think Bidens 9.1% inflation was OK since they never complained about it. They loved his high gas costs increased rents and decreased wages. Their excuses were so creative. But the rely loved the mortgage recession caused by Carter that exploded when Bush was president. That was the Communist Reinvestment Act. Another democrat disaster.
Biden and Carter were the 2 worst presidents in our lifetime. Obama a solid third place. Biden first place

Dummy, +% is BY DEFINITION INCREASING GDP.

"GDP dropping" would be NEGATIVE GDP growth.

But let's assume you meant dropping in growth rates and lets ignore that those are outdated REAL GDP numbers:

was 2011 "dropping like a rock"?

Was 2013 "dropping like a rock"?

What in the world, aside from stupid politics, made you think that 2016 GDP was "dropping like a rock" as opposed to just a bit of growth slowdown like in 2011 and 2013? What economic crisis did we have in 2016?

Life is affordable if you don't buy every shiny thing you see. Keeping up with the Jones's isn't a financial plan.

Government borrows money at what, 3-4 percent. Credit card spenders owe over a $TRILLION at 22-25 percent. That $Trillion/plus is increasing as we speak, Christmas shopping now.

Democrats drove up rents by importing millions of illegals

Fixing your inability to fend for yourself is not an American’s agenda

Not when you used to have the ability to fend for yourself but now struggle paying for food, energy, transportation, healthcare……
