Who is Trump's Favorite Nazi General?

Actually Trumps love of German generals like Hitler had, only shows Trumps lack of historical knowledge about the loyalty of many of Germany's greatest generals.

The one's who put their troops and Germany itself above the crazy desires of the guy at the top.

Of course you will find many generals who followed the leaders every command. The kind of general Trump wants.

Pretty much everyone agrees that Rommel was a brilliant general.
Field Marshal Erwin Rommel was involved in the July 20, 1944 plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler,

When the search for conspirators implicated Rommel, he was given the choice to commit suicide instead of facing a public trial.

Rommel chose to take his own life with cyanide pills on October 14, 1944. He was given a state funeral and military honors

I'm aware of that. It doesn't change the fact that he was a brilliant general.

The Desert Fox tried to kill Hitler.
Nope. He was against Hitler towards the end but did not try to kill him. Loads of cites to back this up. The second link below has lots of interesting details about Rommel's final days. He chose cyanide to protect his family.

However, it appears that friends and historians alike attempted to portray Rommel’s involvement as greater and more committed than it actually was. Rommel had some connections to the plotters but was not involved in detailed planning. Indeed, it appears Rommel was, at the least, opposed to killing Hitler, even if he supported removing him from power.

The Nazis wanted to get rid of Rommel because of his opposition to Hitler—and his concrete plan to overthrow their reign. According to Lt. Gen. Fritz Bayerlein, Rommel and his chief of staff, Hans Speidel, had developed a plan to allow the Allies unopposed access to certain key regions of Germany and to contact Allied leaders for a separate peace. Before this plan had a chance to develop further, an unknown German betrayed Rommel to the Nazis. This informant remains unidentified. Possibilities have given rise to much speculation. Most historians agree that Rommel’s name “came up” during the reign of terror and interrogations following the failed July 20 assassination plot against Hitler in 1944.

However, the exact details of the accusations against Rommel—and who betrayed him—remain shrouded in mystery.

Despite these ambiguities, it was already well-known among Rommel’s inner circle by 1944 that he was bitterly disillusioned with Hitler. Rommel allegedly remarked to family and friends after the July 20 plot that: “Stauffenberg had bungled it, and a frontline soldier would have finished Hitler off.”

Yeah whatever. I won't be wasting time arguing about Hitler because you guys want to deny that he is trumps idol.

Rommel wanted to "impeach" Hitler.

I don't want to argue about how so many who were his "best people" are themselves saying, or have said, he's a fascist. Not to mention Vance called Trump "America's Hitler" in a Facebook group couple years ago.
