I also come from a country/farm family.
And they way we were brought up, is if you are a hard worker, learn all you can learn in school, and work at being a good human being and aren't out to hurt people..............everything else is null and void and is overlooked.

If you're "gay" or whatever, fine. Live your life the way you see fit. Just don't go around SHOVING it down other peoples throats and harassing, tormenting, and ridiculing people who don't give a damn, or find it goes against what they believe. If they are leaving you alone to live your own life, then do just that. DO NOT BE PURPOSELY going out of your way to CRAM YOUR WAYS down everybody else throats. THIS is what brings out the hate in others.

If you work on being a good human being and leave people alone unless they require help, then you have nothing to worry about.......so why stir up a shitstorm of hate, bigotry, and prejudice?
