Age distribution at USMB

I've noticed that there seem to be quite a few people claiming to be quite old on USMB, like in their 80's or 90's. There have also been a few teenagers. After the truly "high senior" crowd, I'm sensing there may be a lot of Gen Y and Millennials here too. No doubt we will have some liars among us either way who will throw the results off. But I still think this should give us an interesting perspective on the question. Ive made the poll anonymous so no one needs to know who you are.

So, then, just out of pure curiosity, why'd you make it so that multiple votes are okay?

TBH this is the first poll thread I've ever started on USMB. It seemed a little bit difficult and non straightforward, at least using my phone as an interface. I'm not sure exactly how to do that. Did you really think it was done on purpose? Even with only single votes allowed, that really wouldn't stop from someone from lying about their age so I don't think there's much of a point there.

To answer your question, though, the majority of people on here are 65+

The more pertinent question, at least as an observer of the daily content and the nature of dialogue being solicited/influenced, is whether there are more foreigners on here pawning themselves off as American rather than actual Americans.

I often believe the former rather than the latter.

They should be required to post in a section for the elderly, infirm and soon to be gone .

As it is , they clog up threads with their early dementia and doddery contributions .

It is unfair to we younger ones whose patience and digestive systems are sorely tested every day .

Outside of parents and close family , who chooses to converse with over 75 s about anything--- apart from weather , the condition of their latest ailments and post operation treatments ?
And --- as in the Sci Fi story --- they should be obliged to enter an annual lottery where 10% of losers are euthanised.
Or 25% if we become more enlightened .
