Keep in mind that AS SOON as Democrats regain power, they are going to pass a barrage of new laws aimed at making it
nearly impossible to buy a gun, keep a gun or obtain ammo..

What's coming will be so shocking, it will make California and NJ seem like gun havens.
If you doubt it, I feel sorry for you.

Once again, try Guns America. The tactical shotguns are running high right now, and there aren't many of them.

You may have to buy a regular shotgun, then spend some money to add barrel, magazine extension and stock to get what you want.

As someone said, your timing is bad.

I understand the fear and/or caution. But I have heard that every time a democrat was elected or re-elected. So far it has only made gun manufacturers and dealers rich. Well, and meant good deals when people needed to sell them.

Right....that was with Democrats, mainly moderates.
What's coming in will not be the moderates you've known in the past. The incoming "Democrats" will be driven by a socialist agenda.
Even though the numbers are still small, we have a historic number of sworn Socialists in Congress today.

If you doubt, please look at the national passage of Red Flag laws and restrictions to the 2nd. We clearly see the direction don't we?
That crazy Bloomberg and Buttigeig among others promised full confiscation. We are inching closer.

After looking online and asking in gun stores, I am finally realizing that there is nothing harder to do right now than find a shotgun for sale. The sellers are all out of stock. The riots have produced a run on shotguns that is unprecedented.

Gun sales and background checks have more than doubled over the previous record high. There simply are no shotguns left, especially in the $150 - $250 range.

Anybody know where there are any available right now ? (Home defense, short barrel)
Just as an FYI, you probably aren't going to find a home defense type shotgun for $150 - $250. Maybe an older hunting shotgun you could customize. But the market right now has put value on these guns. It is a seller's market.

Guns America has a dozen Remington 870 shotguns in 12 ga listed for under $500. Most are hunting guns, but you can buy a barrel and extended magazine for a few bucks and have a serious tactical gun. But there is at least one 870 Express Tactical for around $400.

They also have 10 Mossberg pump shotguns in 12 ga. They are mostly hunting guns, but the same holds true for the Mossberg as far as buying a barrel and extended magazine.
If I was willing to spend $4-500, I might not be writing this OP, but most guns in that price range are sold out too.

I checked Guns America about an hour ago. Don't have a price filter. 58 pages. Looked through the Mossberg listing. Too expensive. No Maverick.

If I had more money, I'd get a Remington 870. Really nice gun.

You are right about the "right now" part, but ordnarily there are some good, pump, new shotguns in the very low price range >
Mossberg Maverick 88 - about $180
Mossberg 500 - $220
H & R - $220
ASI - $144
Stevens 320 - $209

I did find ONE Mossberg Maverick 88, but the Ahole dealer was selling it for $260-gouging ($80 above normal price) I probably should buy it, but I just hate letting some creep rip me off.

I just bought a Gun myself. A nice little SW pocket 9mm. Why? Do I plan on shooting someone? Am I afraid of someone coming into my home? None of the above. I just wanted it.

To own a gun because the left is buying guns makes as much sense as the left buying guns because you have guns. If that is your only reason, check in at your nearest Mental Health Clinic.
I don't know who this oddity is talking to, or where its weird ideas come from, but we're talking about having a home defense weapon, at a record-breaking time when home defense weapons are a NECESSITY >> to defend your home. Get it ?

And at this point in time, if you're not afraid of someone busting into your home, or at least a bit ancy of it, then YOU might see about that mental health checkup.

Just a reminder to all concerned, that the sale of any firearm needs to be conducted via a licensed firearms store so that a background check can be done on the buyer.
