Who are the Israelis?

Have you seen this one?

Almost every Israeli has a family member or a friend,
personally prefer not to talk about it, we didn't find out from the news,
we all lived it, half of my neighborhood left that day, from prayer to battle.

Why I am an 'Arab Jew'...not.

We’ve learned a lot over the last couple of months.

First we learned that neither Israel or the Jewish people are as safe as we thought we were. Then we learned that we didn’t have nearly as many friends as we thought we did. And now comes our latest lesson: We are not entitled to the same protections and support as other communities when they are under attack the way we have been.

Over the years, most of us who live in a heterogenous society have learned to respect the preferences and sensitivities of others. We avoid language that might cause offense, even if that was not our intention. We make an extra effort to avoid upsetting those in other underrepresented communities and go out of our way to demonstrate our respect for their customs, rituals and heritage. But when we hear threats like “from the river to the sea” or “globalize the intifada,” or when we hear Israel’s defenders accused of genocide, we now understand that Jews are not entitled to that same sort of consideration.

Imagine if a young woman were told that wolf whistles, catcalls and scatological references were not intended to be offensive, or if it were explained to a member of an underrepresented minority community that a racial slur carried a different meaning to the person who uttered it and therefore there was no reason to be upset by their use of a pejorative term. Such feeble rationalizations would be quickly rejected and those who offered them would face severe legal, social or cultural penalties. But those who call for the elimination of the state of Israel and the extermination of the Jewish people, and who pretend that their efforts at intimidation are merely appeals for Palestinian independence and empowerment, are excused.

'If the US does not provide complete backing, it has nothing to look for in the Middle East' - Energy Minister Eli Cohen

Eli Cohen, Minister of Energy and National Infrastructures and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, said today (Wednesday) at the conference of the Association of Municipal Corporations in the local authorities in Eilat that the US may have nothing to look for in the Middle East.

'If the USA, our greatest friend, which I appreciate very much, does not give the State of Israel complete backing - it has nothing to look for in the Middle East,' Minister Cohen claimed.

'The State of Israel is its ally, and we are the only democracy in the region,' added the Minister of Energy. 'The only change I see in the position of the Americans is because of the upcoming elections in the USA.' Cohen also referred to the possibility of a peace agreement with Saudi Arabia, even without a Palestinian state: 'They really want an agreement with Israel and their greatest interest is a defense alliance with the US. There will be peace with the Saudis even without a Palestinian state.'

What Israel and India share in common

Like India, Israel is an ancient, non-Muslim civilisation living in our historical homeland.
And like India, we live in a region dominated by people who want to wipe us off the map.

Maybe you should be asking "What about the Jews" who lived there for 4,000 before the arab muslims invaded again
Note that the first Arab Muslim invasion and conquest was about 1,400 years ago.
Contested a few times since. (such as the Crusades about 1,000 years ago, onward)

Arab Mob Tries to Lynch Jewish Farmer in Hebron Hills

Palestinian Authority Arab terrorists attempted to lynch a Jewish shepherd near Beit Yatir in the South Hebron Hills on Tuesday, moderately wounding him, Rescuers Without Borders (Hatzalah Judea and Samaria) reported.

Yedidya Talia of the nearby Talia Farm was hit in the head by one of the stones thrown by the group of eight Arab rioters, the organization said. The farmer managed to call the security forces to the scene while trying to protect his body and flock at the same time.

Due to the high demand: Yad L'Achaim will produce another 20,000 personal charity patches for soldiers

The blessed initiative of Yad Lachaim, which saw the light of day about two months ago, in which tens of thousands of personal charity boxes (pouches) were distributed to soldiers and members of the security forces, so that the virtue of the mitzvot of charity would protect them and preserve them, received a great response, and in light of the great demand, the organization produced another 20,000 such boxes.

A large demand comes mainly from soldiers stationed on the northern border, in light of the warming there, as well as from officers who request a large amount of cash to distribute to all the soldiers under their command.

As we previously published, Yad Lachaim, whose 'security department' members are assisted by members of the security forces to rescue women and children from Arab villages, and quite a few of its members have been recruited these days and are on the front lines, thought of a unique product that is not available and that could accompany the soldiers and be a special interest for them to protect and rescue. In this framework, the projects department of Yad Lachaim initiated a special production of a "pouch" - a kind of special wallet in the colors of the army and with a special buckle for hanging on the pants in which there are 2 pockets, one for charity coins and the other that will be used as a charity box in which to put the coins, when each soldier can donate the charity to all body or needy close to his heart.

Temple Mount Update | Weekly Torah Portion - Tzav

When the Temple was destroyed what became of the continuous fire? It entered into the souls of the Jewish nation and has been kept burning ever since. The continuous fire is the animating flame that keeps the Jewish people going, generation after generation, no matter the challenges, no matter the obstacles.

New research: Humanity is facing a crisis - most countries in the world have negative natural growth | What about Israel?

The fertility rate in 54% of the world's countries is less than the turnover rate, and by 2050 the number is expected to jump to 75% • All the countries of the world have experienced a decrease in the fertility rate in the last 75 years • The countries of Europe and East Asia are the countries with the lowest fertility rate • The absence Population turnover endangers the growth of the world economy • And what is the situation in Israel?

Most of the world's countries are at a negative natural growth rate, and humanity is facing a serious population crisis resulting from low fertility rates, according to a new study published in the prestigious Lancet journal. According to the study, the alarming trend of a sharp decline in the world's fertility rate, especially in Western and East Asian countries, is expected to continue even more strongly in the coming years - the population of 75% of the world's countries is expected to be on a downward trend in 2050, and of 97% of the countries in 2100. "The consequences of this will be severe," warns Prof. Manuel Trachtenberg, economist and head of the Institute for National Security Studies at Tel Aviv University.

The fertility rate in Israel - the highest in the OECD countries

Although in Israel there has also been a significant decrease in the fertility rate in the last 70 years, the fertility rate in Israel is the highest in the West by a considerable margin - and stands at 2.89 children per woman, 90% more than the OCED average. According to the forecast presented in the study, the fertility rate in Israel is expected to decrease, but it is expected to be one of the countries with the highest fertility rate in the world in 2100, and the population of Israel is expected to continue to grow in the foreseeable future.

  • Israel is the country with the highest birth rate in OECD- 64% more than the second after it and 90% more than the average.
  • Since 1955 there has been a consistent decrease in the fertility rate in Israel, from 4 children per woman to 2.89 in 2022.
  • According to the study, the downward trend is expected to continue, and the fertility rate in Israel is expected to reach 2.09 in 2100 - which will make Israel the country with the 7th highest fertility rate in the world.
  • "We are on the other side of the barrier - of an excess of births and not a shortage. Everyone thinks about the high number of children of the Israeli Orthodox and Arab communities, but the unusual phenomenon is that in the rest of the Jewish population we have seen an increase in births - the opposite of what is happening in the world," explains Trachtenberg.
