I really don't believe this me and a group of other white kids used to sing that song at school just because it was a silly song. No offense or anything but some of you conservatives need to grow some thicker skin.

You have to look at the climate were in. This is not like it used to be decades ago. Everything is scrutinized nowadays. Even if she was well meaning it's just not a good look. I'll admit that we do not know what was going on in her head, but singing that version of the song to a black child is just a no no. Again, even well meaning, it just looks wrong and people are going to take it as wrong. She should have known better.
