White Teacher Under Fire For Singing 'Monkey' Song On Black Boy's Birthday

You put your busybody meddling way on full display. It's not my fault that I strolled by and noticed your bullshit.

Seriously. How is it any of your business that she's racist?

And she posted that video for all to see. Same difference. I can have an opinion on her like you can have an opinion on me.

However, again, I dont know if she was being racist, I said it looks bad

You have a point; you do get to pass your opinion on something in the public domain. My apologies.

I guess I lost it because I am sick of all this culture where we scrutinize one another to see whether they are being PC enough. It's like we are on a permanent witch-hunt trying to root out the "evil racists" like we have some kind of moral high ground just because we love colored skin. We don't. Racists are people just like us, they should be left alone. If they want to discriminate against someone for their skin color, they should be allowed to.

Nobody is saying racists dont have the right to their opinion. Most people, however, see racism as a moral wrong, and when people do it in public, others will call them out on it, and in some cases, it can lead to social problems and employment problems.

In thr case of this teacher, she's experiencing backlash because, while nobody knows her intent, on the surface, it looks bad. In today's society, those appearances can cause problems.

The ironic thing is that if a person has no racist tendencies and is truly colorblind, they could sing this song and not think a thing about it. It wouldn’t even dawn on them that there is a negative connotation between “monkey” and a black person because they themselves don’t think in those terms. A racist person could also sing the same song with malicious intent, but I can’t imagine a first grade teacher doing so in front of the class and on video. From her tone and the situation, I believe she is the former.

Many Democrats, in particular, are very sensitive to everything regarding race because they themselves see everything through a racial lens. That kind of makes them racist themselves.
