White Teacher Under Fire For Singing 'Monkey' Song On Black Boy's Birthday

If she sings it to white kids too then it shouldn’t be an issue,

If she had sung it to a white child, it wouldn't have been an issue, but she didnt.

If she had sung it to a white child, it wouldn't have been an issue, but she didnt.
Why was it an issue then? Yea I get it, the teacher was not the most culturally sensitive, but I doubt she was being deliberately hurtful, either. The song is a popular nursery rhyme.

So it's a problem if it's a black child but not if it's a white child? Are you aware of how racist you sound right now?

Whites have to be kept in fear of their "betters".

Walk on egg shells. Live in fear. That is the goal.

I agree, we dont know if she was trying to be deliberately hurtful, but she should have had enough common sense to run this idea through her head and think "yeah, that wouldn't look good at all".

The optics of it look very bad.

Or maybe she didn't notice that the boy was black? You know, maybe she was so un-racist that she paid no attention to the color of his skin?

Now that part we can agree upon.

yes, that's exactly what im saying. Read the optics, look at the climate we are in. This is 2025, racial tension is high. It just didnt look good. Im not even saying she meant to be racially insensitive, im saying she should have known it would cause backlash.
