Dallas-Fort Worth ranked No. 2 in the nation for the number of jobs added over the last year, with 203,100, according to BLS. Only the New York City metro area had more: 277,000.
D-FW’s job gains in April accounted for nearly half of Texas’ monthly gain. Since February 2020, the pre-pandemic peak in payroll employment, D-FW represents 42% of the state’s new jobs, according to an analysis by Beacon Economics.
