White House inadvertently texted top-secret Yemen war plans to journalist

1. Trump admin did not add Signal, it was in use by the Biden admin.
2. There is another secure app that should have been used.
3. Where was your outrage when 13 Americans were killed in AFG because the Biden admin didn't allow a sniper to kill the suicide bomber?
4. No harm, no foul, lesson learned.
1. Source that claim.

2.It wasn't. What's more it's not just insecure, it also deletes messages. Which is illegal.

3. Whataboutism is a fallacious argument. Something any fifth grader understands. Two wrong's don't make a right, and you will NEVER find me on this board defending security breaches no matter who makes them. You are. Not just that. Your analogy doesn't even compare security breaches. So it's a false analogy.

4. Of course there's a foul. If nothing else it shows hostile foreign nations that the Trump administration is perfectly happy discussing HIGHLY classified information on civilian and device specific mediums. Not to mention that they are very cavalier about operational security in general, as is shown by inviting a REPORTER to the deliberations. You don't think that's harmful?

Yep, kind of all over the news this afternoon. I've seen it a few sites. I don't like Hegspeth but it seems Waltz is the one who included Goldberg in the chat not knowing who he was. Didn't read this article you posted but it was in another article that national defense chats are not usually on signal.
Tommy, I saw this. TOTAL INCOMPTENCE of this Administration. A true intelligence failure. Pete has some valid comments.
All of you, we deserve so much better than this.

So they mishandled classified information.

Lesson learned? Are they in grade school?
It's also bullshit. If they didn't "learn their lesson" when Trump showed the Russian ambassador Israeli intelligence. Or when they discussed classified information with Abe in the Mar O Lago PUBLIC dining room. Or when he shared nuclear capabilities with some rando AFTER he left office. This despite Trump not even being supposed to have those documents. Just mentioning some of the breaches of Trump and his cronies. The notion that this will teach them any lesson is laughable on it's face.

No better way to get to condemn leaks than leaking it yourself.

1. Signal was used by the Biden admin.
"No,” another said, flatly, when asked if there was any analogous use of the app during the Biden administration.

2. Lesson learned. I'm sure Trump told them to get their shit together.

3. 13 dead Americans because someone in the national security chain made a bad call is relevant. No one was even injured in the Yemen strikes. Whoever wanted to use Signal made a bad call. Lesson learned.

4. I have not yet heard Mike Walz's explanation of how or why he added Goldberg to the text chain. It makes no sense since Goldberg is such a severe critic of all things Trump. It was a fuckup, but no one was killed or injured, and the bombings were successful. It wasn't harmful only because Goldberg did not warn Yemen, it can be a net positive since Trump's national security team got kicks in the ass and will now be on high alert when communicating.

I'm sure they all got called to the principal's office and got their asses kicked.
I'm also sure that they will not mishandle classified information going forward.

If it hadn't been successful it would have gave them an excuse.

"Someone leaked the information but we are going to find them and prosecute them".

LOL. Just like they have done in the past.

Is that what you said about Clinton?

You stepping on all the rakes.

ALL of them.

This is politico-head, inside-baseball league garbage. Sure, it seems it was an error. But go explain this to a regular American, not people who hang out on political forums.

"Yeah so, they were having this confidential chat and someone added a journalist accidentally."

"Oh no, what happened?"

"Well.....nothing."

Right.

Meanwhile real Americans are watching egg prices halved, gas prices dropping, and you all burning up Teslas all over the nation.

PLEASE, I beg you please, harp on this story for the next year. Preferably right through the mid-terms.
Amateurs all

Is that what you said about Clinton?
Clinton's fuckup was deliberate, including the use of Snapchat since all messages deleted themselves.
We also know that Russia hacked her illegal bathroom server.
We also know that the Clinton Foundation made tons of money for her.

The Signal screwup was probably inadvertent. I still need to hear Walz's explanation.

Deliberate or incompetent. What's really the difference?

How could they inadvertently use signal?

One gets you in prison (or should), and the other just gets you fired (or should).

And sadly neither will likely happen. Being a politician means there is always someone willing to defend you no matter how corrupt or inept.
