While everyone was screaming “chaos” and “no plan,” [Trump's] team quietly flipped Indonesia, the fourth-largest country on Earth and guardian of ...

Of course you think that. Delusional people always do. It’s part of what it means to be delusional.
No, I just am. You've been wrong about almost everything Trump related and otherwise. Your doom vision is just what I expect from a biased left Winger, you never have anything good to say about Trump and his policies. You've been wrong about his tariffs, wrong about the economy, wrong about foreign policy, Israel, the terrorists, the trouble that you left Wingers constantly tried to foist on Trump, Russian collusion the impeachment. Everything. You might as well give up, I've beaten you down on everything. You are a pathetic loser 😆lol

You joined the board like 2 weeks ago, so how would you know what I’ve been right or wrong about?

Indonesia and China are locked in a dispute over the Natuna Islands and of course, China's imaginary claim right into Indonesia's EEZ.

Really unusual timing if true. They are the largrst Muslim nation on earth and with the U.S back in the M.E, this is peculiar. Perhaps trying to weaken Chinas.access to oil resources is the objective, forcing them to rely on Russia (is that good or bad?).

And naturally the MSM failed to take note.

This is what I voted for.

Let’s drop one more puzzle piece onto the board, and this one could be biggest one of all. It could tie the whole picture together. Yesterday, Al Jazeera reported, “Indonesia, US sign ‘major’ defence cooperation agreement.” It was especially weird timing, considering that Indonesia controls another oil-shipping passage critical to China: the Strait of Malacca.
Corporate media was largely silent about the deal, even though it cannot possibly be coincidental that the U.S. is now making moves around the world’s second critical oil chokepoint in the same 30-day period. Trump’s team is walking, chewing gum, and taking names.
Indonesia is the world’s fourth-largest country by population, and its largest majority-Muslim country. For the last twenty years, analysts and officials have repeatedly highlighted the Strait of Malacca as a critical vulnerability for China, even coining the label “China’s Malacca dilemma.” It’s so well known that there’s a whole Wikipedia entry about it.
The dilemma is “a strategic vulnerability for China” because the strait handles a quarter of global trade and funnels roughly 80% of China’s crude oil imports through a long, skinny channel you could almost see across. It gives “deep throat” a whole new meaning.
China needs oil to survive. Unlike the US, the PRC imports over half of its annual oil demand. Wikipedia confirmed, “the Strait of Malacca is one of the most strategically important maritime chokepoints globally.” Even more so than the much-ballyhooed Strait of Hormuz. After blocking Hormuz, America is now stretching its hands toward Malacca’s neck. So you’d think this contemporaneous development would make bigger news.
It’s not merely a minor second-world development. Yesterday, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth personally hosted Indonesia’s defense minister at the Pentagon, and even tweeted about it.
...

Oh, he definitely planned ahead; these idiots claiming it's just him going off unhinged on the spur of the moment; it's just them being morons, as usual. He and his advisors covered every possible contingency, even fertilizer production here in the States that might be affected months ago.

Patriotism is not conditional depending of which way the political wind is blowing

Trump is battling enemies both foreign and domestic

But he’s mostly winning in spite of the ankle biters in this country

Trump has lost everything utterly and completely. The only “domestic enemy” to the USA is Donald Trump and his criminal gang.

what's he lost, completely and utterly?

No it's not. Using Mark Twain's wisdom and definition, patriotism means supporting your country all the time, but its government ONLY when it deserves it.

Trump and Congress give aid and comfort to the enemy of the US, the Zionist State of Israel. According to Article III Section 3 of the USC, giving aid and comfort to the enemy of the US is treason.

You pathological Israel haters are becoming boring, not to mention that you are clueless as to how obvious your reasons are for hating Israel. 🤡

Flopping Aces is a right wing fake news site.

There is no agreement on the Straits of Mallaca.

The United States Navy has guaranteed safe passage through those straits since 1945.

The fake news doesn’t understand that Indonesia taking over responsibility for defending those straits would represent a very significant American retreat from world leadership.

But no such agreement exists. Noe does Pete Hegseth have the power to make one.

The fake news site also gave Trump credit for forcing this imaginary agreement: “All because Jakarta was choking on its own energy crisis... rationing gas, sending bureaucrats home, and staring down 32% tariffs until they bent the knee.:

But you conveniently left this out.

Jakarta is choking on an energy crisis BECAUSE Donal Trump started a war, and got gobsmacked by Iran’s response.

Claiming that Indonesia “bent at the knee” to the US is absurd.

But it does reflect the parochial world view of the author (anonymous), and the target audience. They all bought it at face value, as we see in this very thread.

We've recently made a new trade deal with Indonesia that involves more access to critical minerals, and will eliminate tariffs for 99% of American goods while the U.S. will maintain tariffs on most Indonesian goods at 19%.

Not sure if the deal includes anything about the Strait of Malacca though.

You pathological Israel haters are becoming boring, not to mention that you are clueless as to how obvious your reasons are for hating Israel. 🤡
Hatred is not in play. From my Army training, I see Israel as the enemy of the United States. I was taught to avoid emotions like hatred, and try to stay rational. Israel is the enemy of the United States for many reasons. Those who give aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States are guilty of treason. No emotion, just rational fact-based analysis.

Thats just you own personal take on US policy

The rest of us understand that Israel is our best friend in the middle east
You are entitled to embrace any fantasy you wish sir, just don't expect to be taken seriously for critical thinking.

Israel isnt our enemy. They are our greatest ally. We are GREAT friends with them. We have been kicking muslim ass for decades as brothers in arms.
Yes, that is what they want you to believe.....

A April 2026 defense deal, a Major Defence Cooperation Partnership (MDCP) between the US and Indonesia, grants the US military expanded operational access to Indonesian airspace, increasing surveillance and control over the crucial Strait of Malacca. This deal aims to pressure China, which relies on this route for 80% of its oil imports. https://www.ndtvprofit.com/world/ma...to-this-vital-strait-means-for-india-11359874
