I would be happy to just go back to vote in person on one day, maybe two consecutive days. No mailed ballots unless they are sent and returned via registered return receipt so we can see everyone who had their hands on the ballot. And that should be done at the voters expense, not the tax payer's expense. Just the fact that someone shows up in person and their name is on the voter roll when they go in the door is enough for me.

So a simple trip to the several traditional polling places to VOTE is considered an ordeal..... Yet there was little cheating possible and the counts were done within 12 hours with negligible controversies.

I will accept this example of the good ol days when voting was EASY!

Today it now takes DAYS just to count and the counting process isn't being properly secured which is why there are reports of irregular counts and unverified ballots being included in the votes.

This is well exposed in Georgia having 315,000 unverified votes being included in the count which never happened in the old paper ballot days because the voters had to be verified in person to vote which make all votes getting into the locked ballot box already verified.

Good post, but I have to disagree here.

In the past, Bernie Sanders has been paid every 4 years to pretend to run for president, so Democrats can believe they were being given a choice, rather than just told who to vote for. He's made a lot of money doing that, including a $3 million payday from the Clinton campaign in 2016.

In 2024, the party gave up the charade, and just skipped the primary and told their voters who to vote for. I expect that's the way it will be from now on, and the DNC candidate will be chosen based on who controls the larger war clan, just like it's done in the places Democrats admire most, like Somalia, Afghanistan, and Gaza.
