Which political party gets credit for more job creation?

Let’s see….

Bush 41: 1.9 million jobs
Clinton: 23.5 million jobs
Bush 43: 1.3 million jobs
Obama: 11.5 million jobs
Trump: MINUS 3 million jobs
Biden: 13 million jobs

Do I see a trend?

Last 3 Republicans: gained 200,000 jobs
Last 3 Democrats: gained 48 million jobs
this is great news because we all need two jobs now to catch up with JOeys ghastly inflation and to pay for his war with russia

Prove it!
Obama... Buy $100 on 01/1/2009 (Obama first year) and sell in 2016 for $199.87 or a gain of $99.87 or per year of $12.48 or per year 12.48% on $100.
Pretty good right?
Trump... Buy $100 in 2017 (Trump's first year and sell in 2021 last day.. for $219.60 or a gain of $119.69 or per year for 4 years or 29.92% in 4 years.
Now if Trump were in office for 8 years like Obama.. The $100 would be worth $438....

I've never seen anyone fuck up numbers as badly as you...

S&P500

1/20/1989: 286.63
1/20/1993: 433.37 (UP 51.2% - Bush41)
1/20/2001: 1,342.54 (UP 209.8% - Clinton)
1/20/2009: 805.22 (DOWN 40.0% - Bush43)
1/20/2017: 2,271.31 (UP 182.1% - Obama)
1/20/2018: 3,851.85 (UP 69.6% - Trump)
7/06/2023: 4,411.59 (UP 14.5% - Biden)

this is great news because we all need two jobs now to catch up with JOeys ghastly inflation and to pay for his war with russia

Another whiny excuse by Republicans for great jobs numbers

People are working two jobs :206:

People are asked if they are working or not. Whether you are working one job or three……you say yes

Let’s see….

Bush 41: 1.9 million jobs
Clinton: 23.5 million jobs
Bush 43: 1.3 million jobs
Obama: 11.5 million jobs
Trump: MINUS 3 million jobs
Biden: 13 million jobs

Do I see a trend?

Last 3 Republicans: gained 200,000 jobs
Last 3 Democrats: gained 48 million jobs

Under President Trump, we actually saw REAL JOBS in factories, not hippy stoner shit like door dash or starbucks

Why did you have Trump just 1/20/2018 when Trump took office on 1/20/2017? Up 79.76% NOT 69.6%
Again.. conflating..
NOW I've NEVER seen someone like the MSM try to hide your fake numbers!

Thanks for catching that. The amount was correct. I put the wrong year. Should be...

1/20/1989: 286.63
1/20/1993: 433.37 (UP 51.2% - Bush41)
1/20/2001: 1,342.54 (UP 209.8% - Clinton)

7/06/2023: 4,411.59 (UP 14.5% - Biden)

As far as the numbers, they're not fake.

this is great news because we all need two jobs now to catch up with JOeys ghastly inflation and to pay for his war with russia

Nonsense.

The rate of people working multiple jobs is roughly about the same as it's been for the last 13 years, which is lower than it was before then...

And I don't know what country you're living in, but the USA is not at war with Russia.

What are the numbers following the dates? Like 1/20/2021: 3,851.85?
The S&P 500 calculator : S&P 500 Returns since 2017
Shows when Trump left office in 2020 the S&P calculator indicates 14.23% per year return.
But when the calculator start year for Obama is 2009 this is the result:
This lump-sum investment beats inflation during this period for an inflation-adjusted return of about 177.55% cumulatively, or 13.61% per year.

Are we comparing apples to apples or apples to oranges?
Because using S&P 500 calculation Trump's 4 years -- per year was 14.23% VS Obama's 8 years --per year was 13.61%
Very close for sure!

You don’t understand how budgets work do you?

It has to be negotiated in both chambers and signed by the President
You are right and if you take the time you can prove with substantiation... not your personal opinion.
Creating the U.S. federal budget
The budget planning begins a year before the budget is to go into effect.
  1. Federal agencies create budget requests and submit them to the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
  2. OMB refers to the agencies’ requests as it develops the budget proposal for the president.
  3. The president submits the budget proposal to Congress early the next year.
  4. Proposed funding is divided among 12 subcommittees, which hold hearings. Each is responsible for funding for different government functions such as defense spending or energy and water.
  5. The House and Senate create their own budget resolutions, which must be negotiated and merged. Both houses must pass a single version of each funding bill.

That was the value of the S&P500 on that date. I showed the value on the start and end date fir each of those presidents and calculated in increase for each.
