Which one to buy?

OK, I gotta ask now: I'd be interested to hear your arguments both pro and against for both revolver and pistol for concealed carry.

That makes sense, seeing that 10mm is only 1/167th of an inch smaller than 10mm.
Revolver always goes bang. Fits in a pocket. .357 mag is excellent defense round.

What that $80.00 .30-30 Marlin would cost today.

And that is about what a used example in good shape costs these days.
I bought a Ruger Blackhawk .357 new in about 1980 from Montgomery Ward for about $150. I just looked at the price and that gun is selling new for between $800 and $900. It looks very similar to your photo in post #19. Wow!

Looking to buy an all around pistol.....

Looking at ....

Shield Plus
Shield X
Glock 48
HK P30 sk

Any thoughts?
Hold each pistol. Find the one that feels best to you. They are all basically the same, so being comfortable in your hand is paramount.

For home defense in a blue city ... "It's the only way to be sure".

Try the Echelon. 4.5 or 4.0C
Or, if you want more ass, the M&P 2.0 in 10mm.

The Echelon is slick and has a very natural feel.
The M&P has a slightly taller grip angle with takes a second to get used to, especially w/ a dot. Helps with the recoil.

I've always wanted a gun, but when I found out that there is no such thing as a "silent" gun, I just didn't care much anymore.

None of your ******* business, tankie.

In America, we don't need a reason. You Eurocucks will never understand that.

I think he meant what did I want to use it for, concealed carry or home defense.....he isn't a gun grabber......they were just trying to help....

I'm a wheel-gun man for concealed carry so a 70s vintage Cobra or Detective Special. ;)

I do sort of like the Shield M&P 2.0 Compact.

As an aside.....I saw something today at the gun shop I did not know was being made.....A S&W Model 610 10mm revolver! It was lightly used for $600-ish.

You can shoot .40 S&W in it too.

Of course for both you have to use moon clips.

I was sorta tempted but I have a 10mm M1911.

Does it come with a free box of tissues ;)

15th post
Had a chance to shoot each one.....I am likely going with the Shield Plus.

Thanks everyone for your help.
