America has near record 5.8 million job openings
Job openings are just about everywhere today.
America had around 5.75 million job openings in March. That's just shy of the all-time high, 5.78 million openings, set last July, according Labor Department data published Tuesday.
It's great that U.S. businesses are hiring. But these record number of openings are also a sign that business owners can't find the skilled workers qualified to fill the jobs they have.

On the upside, employers are hiring more and the U.S. economy is growing -- a healthy sign as concerns rise about the global economy potentially weighing down U.S. economic growth. In some respects, a large number of job openings indicate that America's job market is improving, economists say.
However, job openings also mean some employers can't find the right people to hire. Too many job openings represent a problem: The job skills gap in America, experts say.

One Day After Obama Touts Economy in Big Speech, Worst Jobs Report in Five Years Posted For May
“This devastating jobs report showing the weakest hiring in five years is the latest indication we need to move away from the failed Obama policies Hillary Clinton is promising to continue. The percentage of Americans in the labor force is the smallest since 1978, and last month 12 times more people gave up looking for work than found a job. This is unacceptable," RNC Chairman Reince Priebus released in a statement Friday. “Just this week President Obama was trying to convince Americans they’ve never had it so good, but on his watch wages have remained stagnant, economic growth has slowed to a crawl, and the middle class has continued to shrink. By running on four more years of Obamanomics, Hillary Clinton is guaranteeing that struggling Americans will never get ahead. Donald Trump is a successful businessman who knows what it takes to create jobs and get our economy back on track. As this report makes clear, we need that kind of thinking now more than ever in the White House.”

Similar reports from CNN Money and other finance sites and publications repeat the 5.8 million jobs unfilled figure. Unemployment is staying low but those with skills for the available jobs simply don't exist. It's why jobs being filled remain low.
China has replaced people making a buck 6 an hour with robots who don't get paid anything. Trump says he will bring those jobs back? Who could believe that? Apparently many do. Perhaps they should expand their area of information input beyond Fox and find out exactly what is going on.
