Before one launches a war, you have to look at the consequences, and decide whether it is worth the effort, and whether you have the logistics to back up that war. Already some unplanned for consequences are showing up. Yes, Iran deserves to be damaged, but what is the price the rest of the world, including us, will pay to do that? Will the result be worth it? And do we even have the logistical supplies to do the job?

That is better than Iran having nukes to threaten the world with.

The destruction of the current regime in Iran is the only path to peace in the ME and the only way to prevent the ayatollahs from acquiring nuclear weapons. If adjustments have to be made for war damage to Iran's drilling or refining capabilities, they will be.

What next? When has US meddling in the ME worked out?

What next? When has US meddling in the ME worked out?
When the US was able to broker a peace treaty between Israel and Egypt, and later when the US was able to broker a peace treaty between Israel and Jordan. Now, hopefully, there will be a peace treaty between Israel and Iran when the new Iranian government takes office and that will bring peace to the ME.
