When was America Great

It was putting the post replied to in further context.
USA has led the world in inventions, industrial innovations, productivity, foreign aid (Marshall Plan), Arsenal of Democracy, Constitutional Representative Government, technology, culture, entertainment, inspiration, "Life, Liberty, Prosperity", etc. etc. etc.
The British invented the magnetron.
The British invented the computer.
The British invented the jet engine.
The British invented food canning.
The British invented fire extinguishers.
The British invented the worldwide web.
The British invented the steam engines and turbines.
The British invented concrete.
The British invented television.
Coca cola, Ford or Chevy, Levi blue jeans, Nike shoes, IBM, Microsoft, Apollo Moon Landing, Defending Europe during post WWII Cold War, Ending two world wars started by Europe, then rebuilding the destruction from same; Etc. etc. etc.
The US also slaughtered 500,000 Vietnamese civilians, thousands of civilians in Laos, and thousands and thousands more in Iraq, Afghanistan, Central America and Korea.

The US started the Ukraine war and finances the genocide taking place in Palestine.

I'd like an answer to this, at what time in history was America "great" in the sense the MAGATS want to return to that? Is there an approx date? is there a specific previous administration that fits the description?

Returning to when America was great is not referring to a time but rather to a status. That status is when America was respected on the world stage, and feared by our enemies.

Ahh, well those days are fading rapidly.

Sounds to me like you think the UK is better than sliced bread so as I told you before, what's keeping you here. Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you. I don't think anyone here wants you to be unhappy so haul your ass back across the pond.

Ahh, well those days are fading rapidly.
Well, they had been fading, hopefully Trump can put them back on course. You have to admit, there were no new wars under Trump and bad actors didn’t try anything while he was president. Now, I don’t know how or why that happened, but it did

Rather than feebly trying to attack me, how about answering the question if Americans are so clever?
Are you so insecure that you feel people are trying to attack you because they answer your question? I gave you a perfectly clear answer to your question. It didn't follow your chosen narrative so, as is your way, you chose to attack the messenger.

You're obsessed with me now.
Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.
I'll go where I please and sat what I like.
I don't think anyone here wants you to be unhappy so haul your ass back across the pond.
Nope, staying right here where I live.

Most Americans seem to have precious little knowledge of other countries and their history. Consequently they have no grasp of how formerly democratic state slowly turns into an oligarchy. They do not yet realize the gravity of what has happened here nor what they are going to lose over the coming years.

They are like lemmings, eagerly running toward their own demise, sad, and all we can do is watch the catastrophe unfold.

Since loving to study history since the fifth grand, I probably forgot more American and world history than most people ever knew.
Also, Bible study and the geography involved was also one that interest me.
When kids were in school, I had lots of time to study sometimes checking out as much as 25 books at a time from library, had to use 2 library cards, mine and a family member.

You never answered me, all you did is get bent out of shape because you didn't know the answer:

You were offended by my question and then started having a hissy fit.

You were offended by my question and then started having a hissy fit.
You asked, "When was America Great" I answered "Before you got here." You didn't like the answer, but it was a very clear answer just the same. Don't whine and cry because someone doesn't give you the answer that you have no right to demand. Simple. Now cry about something else. I love to hear the sobs of butt hurt democrat immigrants.

Unlike other countries in the world, we didn't turn this country into a third-world craphole!
You turned many other places into crapholes though, very good at destroying things. And is this anything to be proud of? ranking low in education, healthcare and opportunity?

Here's the US, people don't see this, they look the other way, don't want to talk about reality, some 18 million Americans cannot afford health insurance. The US has pillaged the world and now with Trump it's about to pillage its population: Just click, its prepositioned to talk about Chicago:

We weren't a Socialist/Marxist country, the Dems wanted to do from the start.

I served my country, and I am grateful that I did! I would do it again, if I could. Having said that, I am proud to be an American.
You mean you facilitated killing in countries that have never attacked the United States?
God Bless America!
He did, but that's over with.

1. It depends on who you ask.
2. It depends on which generation you ask.
3. It depends on the measuring stick.

If the measuring stick is in comparison to other countries, then the majorities in most generations would likely say it's better than most, and probably point to somewhere in the past when it was 'great'.

If you asked WWI or WWII gen in say the 1950's, the vast majority would have said America has always been great.

If you ask the baby boomers today, I would say most would point to the '60's and 70's, and say America was 'great'.

If you ask gen X'ers today, I would say it would be a split, on whether there was ever a time America was 'great'. They would have seen less America-cheerleading during their education years as previous generations had.

If you ask millennial's and gen Z'ers today, you would likely see a mix of America was NEVER great, and America is evil and garbage.

If you ask each racial group separately, then you're going to see wild discrepancies.

At least 20,000 Americans die every year because they can't get medical care.
