Indy 500 Looms large

Let's face it, there are no bad car races. Just ones I enjoy more than others. But they are all great, from the Grand Prix, Le Mans, The Indy 500, the Daytona 500, F1, NASCAR, dragsters, funny cars, mountain bike dirt racing, monster truck racing, motorcycle racing, and hydrofoil boat racing.

The faster it is, the more dangerous it is, the better.

Changing the sport to all electric, would be like taming it, taking a lot of the danger and thrill out of it.
Off Road Desert Racing ( Baja 500 / 1000 ) SCORE racing , District 37 AMA was an acquired taste that became legendary in the 70s

If I ever had the money. . .

I watched part of one EF1? race. Just as a curiosity.

It was like, well. . .

Racing without loud engine sounds is like watching somebody play cards.
😴

I'll watch Indy and the Canadian Grand Prix tomorrow. I love auto racing and have for 50 years.
Unfortunately, I think both IndyCar and Formula 1 are struggling right now a bit.
IndyCar only having on chassis is great for saving money but robs it of some interesting competition. Only two engines too. It does even things out but ...
:dunno:

Formula 1's ridiculous 50/50 engine/hybrid rules have created a monster where cars have to decelerate to charge the system ... It rewards drivers for going slow in some spots. It's absurd and an attempt to make the cars "relatable" to hybrid road cars.
They're nothing similar.
Go to all combustion engines and stick a fork in the dumb electric motor garbage.
