I know that many of the Democrat voters are educated, so it may be that they really have no defense for what they have voted for.

Education is not the problem.....at least if it is defined as a collection of facts. You know this one: Knowledge is knowing that tomatoes are a fruit. Wisdom is knowing not to put them in a fruit salad.
