Whats wrong with education from teachers point of view

I suggest that neither would happen. It is the mix of households/parents that pretty much determines the academic performance of the students.
OK, I agree.

For once will you stop with the right wing hatred of teachers, and somehow pretending that Private Schools have better teachers, and just CONFIRM that most of the public school problems are from PARENTS sending their children to school....UNPREPARED.

****, with my help, my grandson knew the Planets at age 3, and counted to 100 easily.
I got video proof.

If you were sure they were old studies you’d know. They’re not. The last one was from September.

Maybe teaching isn’t for you?

Probably leftist rag studies trying to get more money for the unions

What other profession pays the pittance teachers make while being hated by a good percentage of the population and gets to deal with incredible high amounts of stress? Sounds like a dream doesnt it?

How does a home schooler teach chemistry or calculus or physics?
First, I am not a fan of homeschooling, but that said I taught myself calculus in a way. I had a horrible teacher so I looked at all the tutorial books in the library to see which one I related to best, and then went a bought it. For me, it was the Kaplan one.

Homeschooling has greatly evolved since I was in school. Some of the programs include web instruction, tutors, etc. Some of the programs are quite expensive too.

Of course not. It gets even worse. Our social workers are now the gurus of classroom management. That's right: we're supposed to take our direction from people who run groups of many 2-3 kids at a time, which is NOTHING like managing classrooms. But we have gone here because we live in the Era of the Victim. So all the kids are victims too, with trauma. Of course.
You need to quit immediately.

Home schooling can prepare kids to successfully learn those things later in formal schools. Homeschooling is tutoring and demystifies learning. When homeschooled kids are older and well-grounded in literacy they often are enrolled in public schools where they usually succeed very well.
Too bad that rarely happens!

I would think the worst thing about being a teacher is realizing that kids will forget most of what they're taught and that the real goal of school is the socialization of the little savages, which lately also seems to be an exercise in futility.
