Why would an earthquake send a land mass sliding into the ocean? They only move land a few centimeters and they don’t raise the sea level.

Most catastrophes are really not that big of a deal. 9/11 certainly was an was newsworthy of Breaking News. Most of the other stuff is just regular news.

I'm pretty sure we are due for a devastating event, but, maybe not. 9/11 was what? 16 1/2 years ago. An EMP would affect the world, but, chemical warfare is not even discussed anymore. That would seem to be the easiest.
