Trump will have to cleanse the FBI and all other government orgs that he has to deal with in person, for his personal safety. Remember how close Hitler came to being assassinated by his trusted Generals. There it is again.![]()
There it is again.... Fascism will always ...
It's quite impossible to imagine how the Trump regime can be stopped..There it is again.![]()

A third party challenge is pie in the sky Ter. You're obviously educated enough to understand that at least. There it is again.![]()
Yes exactly, and no challengers have ever even considered taking on the immense popularity of the Trump regime. Some people seem to think that 3rd parties are something new. The Greenies and CUSA have been around for years but everyone knows it's just a waste of a vote.
Do you really think there will be a ground swell of support for a party to subdue government spending?
Most Americans only want free things along with reduced taxation.
In other words, most are stupid as a rock.
That is why the Article V amendment is so brilliant. Most voters only care about voting for the President, and have no idea even who their state representatives even are who have the power to call a Constitutional convention among the states. All you need is a sizable group who care about fiscal viability voting in key states to start the process of amending the Constitution, so the states can then impose a Constitutional amendment to balance the federal deficit. In fact, most Americans probably do not even know that the states can amend the Constitution themselves because it has never been done, but the provision was placed in the Constitution by the Founders for a reason, and that reason is here.
Congress certainly will not impose these restrictions on themselves, no matter what party may be in control.
And I get it, things are too far gone, but why not try anyway?
Do we just give up?
it's a binary systemSome people seem to think that 3rd parties are something new. The Greenies and CUSA have been around for years but everyone knows it's just a waste of a vote.
There's no second party anymore and so you're missing Musk's point that he will create a 2nd. party.A 3rd Party would not fare very well.
There is no reason to break up Trump supporters.A 3rd Party would not fare very well.
Perot got Clinton elected. If this effort gets their attention, like hitting them in the face with a wet mop, it will have been worth whatever havoc it reaps.
I wouldn’t be too optimistic, Perot’s effect lasted about four minutes.
That’s been debunked, and even if it had not been, the simple fact is that Bush was unable to convince enough people to vote for him. Lying about no new taxes broke a lot of already thin ties with the Reaganites.Perot got Clinton elected.
It will suffer the same fate as all third parties do. Elon will be much poorer and the American party will dissolve into nothingness. I had high hopes for the Reform party and it crumbled. I also had high hopes for the No Labels party. It remains a nothingburger. Several years ago the Libertarians were looking forward to hitting 10% of the popular vote. Last election Chase Oliver was hoping to get 2% of the vote. The Tea Party went belly up and the Freedom Caucus isn't even really a party. None of the other third parties have gotten anywhere either.![]()
Elon Musk vows to start a new political party after Trump feud. Here's why that's harder than it sounds.
Billionaire Elon Musk is floating a new political party dubbed the "America Party" — but the idea could face major hurdles.www.cbsnews.com
As billionaire Elon Musk feuds with President Trump over his signature tax and domestic policy legislation, Musk has reupped his calls to launch a new political party — a daunting task even for the wealthiest person on Earth.
Musk first floated launching a third party, dubbed the "America Party," earlier this month, part of a nasty back-and-forth between the president and the Tesla CEO that marked the likely end of their political alliance. Musk raised the idea again this week as lawmakers raced to send the One Big Beautiful Bill Act to Mr. Trump's desk — and this time, Musk put a time limit on the plan.
"If this insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day," Musk wrote in a post on X Monday evening, hours before the bill passed the Senate on Tuesday and headed back to the House. "Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE."
So, assuming the bill passes, which I think it will, what will be the fate of Elon's party?
Personally, I don't blame those wanting another party as both parties have allowed the largest debt to accumulate in US history, threatening the viability of the very Republic they swore and oath to defend. There really is no excuse for it.
On the other hand, Elon is out of his element. Sure, he is rich, but his political acumen is horrible. He simply does not come across well and I think he thinks he knows more about how to sway political power than he really does.
Personally, I think this the wrong approach. The problem is not the party; the problem is centralized power. Why? Because power corrupts. If you start this other party, it will in no time be infiltrated and corrupted, just as bad, if not worse.
That is why I support the Article V movement, to give power back to the states as it is taken away from the centralized economic planners.

I think it a long shot to succeed, but I think it really is the only hope for the Republic not to implode fiscally.
