What were the US goals in Syria?

In general, the very idea of a totalitarian Islamic state is close to the left. The left will support any regime that leads to totalitarianism. It does not matter under what gods it will be implemented, the Caliphate, the Inquisition or communism, it is important that this is the maximum control over society
You are a moron who knows very little about the middle east. There won't be a Caliphate. The Arabs hate communism. They are a merchant people and traders.

I'm trying to draw conclusions based on the alignment of forces. The leftists secretly support the Wahhabis, help the Pashtuns destroy the Northern Alliance, all these forces apparently were on the side of ISIS. I wouldn't be surprised if I found out that they were secretly funding ISIS. Many experts believe that ISIS is working in the interests of the Wahhabis.
In Iran, they had a similar policy: they supported the Islamic revolution.

If this were not the case, they would have supported Assad.
Assad is an Alawite....He shaves, wears western clothing, and has a hot wife who doesn't cover herself up....He's an infidel to both Sunni and Shia.

This is a thread where Sunni Man can shed a lot of light....Though you may not always agree with his politics, his knowledge on the affairs in the Levant is pretty strong.

Allafi are close to Shiites. Isis refers to the Salafis, this is about the same as the Wahhabis, many confuse them.
But religion as such does not play a big role here, these are questions of politics.

There were many funny videos on social networks of women with covered faces spreading their legs and vaginas wide for the audience. lol

He's sedated and controlled by Mehr Assad. Mehr would kill him if he stepped down or left Syria.

If a Saudi goes to fight for ISIS or even goes to Syria, he shouldn't plan to ever go home. At first in 2011 when Assad arrested and tortured the schoolboys, the Saudis talked about arming the rebels, but they remembered Al Qaeda and quickly changed their minds. Their statement said Saudis were forbidden to go to Syria because " it would just make things worse for the Syrian people".

The sect is a secondary issue for sure...ISIS was trying to establish bases in Syria, and Assad doesn't want any piece of that action....The second "S" is ISIS is "Syria".

There are also issues with pipelines and global banking that make The Powers that Be™ want to topple Assad and install their own puppet.

Think about this. Qatar would love a transit pipeline to get their gas to European markets. Syria is too unstable for that. Nobody gives a shit about Syria otherwise except the Israelis. See Clean Break Strategy.. Israel wants Syria isolated and destabilized.

I already said SA is Britain. They do not fight with their own hands

The following is not entirely clear: the US enemies Al-Qaeda and the Taliban fought against the Assad regime. So they must have been Assad's allies. However, the US did not support the Assad regime in the same way. What then did they really want?
