According to a report in Mirror, the women, Alice Assaf, said the children were kneaded to death in a dough machine at a bakery, while men were baked in oven.​

She and her son George hid at house of one of their Muslim neighbours during the attack. However, the family betrayed them and they fell into the hands of ISIS militants, Assaf said.
