When a private individual runs a successful farming business, as well as gaining income from windmills, he or she is targeted by fossil fuel corporations. They spread lies about the negative effects of windmills on that person's land, as well as surrounding neighbors land. We see the same thing here with the windmills east of The Dallas. There has been all kinds of nonsense spewed about them, yet they are now integral part of our NW power grid. In spite of all the lies of the fossil fuel corporations, repeated here endlessly by the intellectually challenged members of this board, there are very few downsides to wind or solar.

About 20 years ago, Marriott partnered with developers to build the Bald Hills Wind Farm...

"Partnered" as in took the mounds of cash subsidies that it takes, to get these inefficient, part-time, money losing contraptions put in place and maintained.

Nobody needs to "manufacture fear" by just showing them a properly drawn up P&L spreadsheet.

Not to mention the land that was taken by eminent domain and sold to third party rich Texans for the transmission lines.

I'd sooner hunker down here in Virginia and weather the vile dem storm than to move to Texas.

Big oil controls the world. Look at how the Saudis, Qatar, Emirates, etc. are just buying up the entire west and the U.S. is helping them for $$$

Maybe, but don't let that stop you from trying. Draw your line in the sand. Make a stand. Stand up for your principles. Because talk is cheap. Or you could just keep being a hypocrite.
Okay, triggered internet stranger :cuckoo:

Windmills on the east coast produce 3% of electric needs you bag of old dirty Socks. 100,000 single driver's aint riding 3hr busses up 101 then walking 8mi w/o even sidewalks in high heels up into silicon Valley you turtle brained arse.//

‘Big oil’ is now American. We’re gonna buy Greenland and we control Venezuela’s oil. We pretty much control the world now, as it should be.

I'm not the one who is triggered by fossil fuels. That's you. Could it be that you don't really believe what you say? Don't mistake my calling you out for not walking your talk as being triggered. I don't care what you do. It seems to me that you want to see yourself as good because you believe CO2 will cause a climate catastrophe. But your carbon footprint is no different than the average American's. That makes you a hypocrite.

Hilarious

Are you trying to make the argument that government shouldn’t push for better and lower cost efficient energy?

How much will climate change cost our government?

Conservation is good. You don't have to believe that conservation is good because of a fake climate catastrophe.

Nothing. The climate isn't changing. When the AMOC switches off that will be a climate change no one can dispute.

How else does one post to a maga stupid fuckup who denies climate change.
By using science like an adult instead of name calling. I use the geologic record to show that when the northern hemisphere deglaciates - like it is today - the oceans and the atmosphere warm. See?

How long will it take this farmer to earn a dollar out of the investment?
