What should Trump opponents do?

Good advice! That would absolutely be the best thing for the nation, and might avoid some bloodshed as the left ramps up its current tantrum and starts running into second amendment advocates ready to teach them why an armed populace is a free populace.

But, I don't know which is sadder, that you would be hoping that the economy would fail so that your dying Party might have a chance for a comeback as is, instead of trying to figure out why it is dying and making changes, or how disappointed you will be when reducing crime, DEI, and the illegal immigration of criminals helps the economic success of hard-working Americans almost as much as his tax cuts for tax payers and his America-first trade policies.

Guns are a sick, brutal fascination. In civilized countries even conservatives ask, "Why would anyone want to own a gun?" Gun ownership should be treated the way automobile ownership is treated. To own a gun, one should pass a test and pay for a registration. The result of a ballistics test should be given to the FBI. That way, when someone is shot it will be easy to trace the bullet to the owner of the gun. The possession of an unregistered gun should be an extremally serious offense.

Those who say we need guns to protect ourselves from the government agree with criminals and terrorists.

Those who say we need guns to protect ourselves from criminals need to wonder why we have the most guns per capita and the highest crime rate of any affluent democracy.

The economy is going to crash. The Republican Party will be responsible. I want the Republicans to be blamed. Trump is impulsive and willfully ignorant. His tariffs will lead to higher inflation than we had under Biden. Trump's efforts to bully Greenland, Denmark, Canada, and Panama will be expensive. Contrary to what Elon Musk asserts, nearly one third of the federal budget is not "waste, fraud, and abuse." The vast majority of it consists of programs Musk does not like, but which most Americans depend on.

We need Engineers. We need Doctors. We need some innovators and they need to learn how.

Of course, you could learn how to be a doctor online. Might take some time but a sufficiently motivated person could do it. Maybe. I tried it with the neighbor girl until we got busted. embarrassing

Same with engineering. And explosives. OJT explosive handlers don't get to be that old. Usually.

Sometimes it is good to learn what people before you discovered. It can save a lot of time. That's what makes us human; we pass our knowledge along from one generation to another. Sometimes.

In the old days (pre-20th century) people went to College to study -- Useless shit. Greek, The Classics, Latin. It was where rich people sent their useless kids.

There were no Engineering Colleges other than the Military Academies and a few Mining Colleges here and there. And they were mostly about shoring up tunnels and when to run like a bunny.

I get your point but if one were to take it to the extreme, it would harm society greatly.
Only Those Who Have the Talent Can Make the Demands

People with talent for that don't need the insults and ingratitude by the public and the corporations. We owe them nothing, because they give us less than they owe, which is why "gifted" is such an insulting and unrealistic term.

Bill Gates could have become one of the corpocracy's High-IQ flunkies. But at 17, he saved a business a million dollars and only got paid a few thousand. The only reason he refused to be a sucker-inventor was that he was a richkid; the rest of us are brought up to just accept being bullied economically.

Until superior minds are given the same treatment superior athletes get, from childhood on, we're not playing the slave-owners' game, including the commoners brainwashed by the Masters to treat us like freaks, social rejects, and pushovers.

The way you change people's minds is to allow free speech. Calling speech you disagree with "hate speech" only shuts down honest communication.
Freedom to Hear "Did You Really Say That?"

What good is speech when megaton mikes have made everybody listening to you deaf? It's like where everybody has a vote, but a few people have a million votes each.

Third, avoid the kinds of behavior that feel good for Trump opponents, but which anger Trump supporters. The legitimate function of political demonstrations is not self expression; it is to change people's minds.
That's probably the best advice someone could give to the Leftists.

First the Democrats should set up a shadow cabinet this consists of a minister and juniors for each dept. This is the model of a parliament. They need a top class interviewer to go on Conservative media.

Each dept and analysis what they are going to do, then figure out the fall out and who it hurts. Then prepare responses for each scenario. Run that through the whole shadow cabinet.
This gets everyone knowing the hymn sheet and how Dems would respond. Being organised and desisive is the main thing.

Then when we get the actions, the dept involved go on the media outlets with a cororindated response... Best ones go on Conservative media much like Pete Buttigieg did for Transport...

Explain on there media channels how these actions will hurt them, be well thought out. Have your numbers, know your brief and stay on it. If they want interviewer wants to go off topic, be brief but point to the team that are handling that... Stay professional and factual, have your evidence and point out where they don't have theirs.

This makes you prepared and organised...
Rubber Foundations

Their logic assumes too much, assertions before proof. It may sound tightly packed in the echo chamber, but it is slippery and soon goes off the edge.

He says he did, so MAGA believes it without a moment's thought. They have to pretend the electoral vote represents actual people.

In reality...

That 1960 Nixon-Kennedy race was a real squeaker. As I understand, Joe Kennedy was willing to buy John the White House, but he sure as hell wasn’t going to pay for a landslide.

Let it go. Acknowledge that Trump won the election in a landslide and get some mental health therapy.

The 2024 presidential election was close, not a landslide

With more ballots counted, Trump's national popular vote lead is down to 1.6 points, and Harris could have won if she had done just a couple of points better in just a few states. Any argument that the 2024 election was a "landslide" is misleading.
