According to this article, it seems he's keeping his word about making the House a more open body. He's also is turning down the monthly $2K speaker's allowance and hasn't yet said what he'll do with the extra $50K Speaker's pay hike. And yeah, he still sleeps in his office in the Longworth building.
But, most important, he's allowing a whole lot more debate on bills and is changing the way the House does business. He's being more inclusive and appears to be breaking up The Old Boys network.
