I am a rural person who doesn't lean right or left. I'm a happy moderate. Both parties will look an American worker in the eye and tell you "hey you should be working hard for your $35,000 salary". And your union is bad, social security is bad, medicare is bad. Your pension is bad, your health insurance is too costly for your employer, and paid sick time is bad. Oh, and paying you time and a half for overtime is also questionable. But hey get in there, work hard, for the good of the country. And workers are starting to think "wait, say what"?

There are greater benefit to living a rural life as opposed
to a congested Big City life.The Noise of traffic for one.
The polluted air.The chance that some street crazy is within
inches of one when walking down the sidewalk.
The higher prices for virtually everything.
I'm not suggesting some Ma & Pa Kettle rural life.
Which obviousky would be literal hell for a paternal
New Yorker like Woody Allen.Or those dime-a-dozen
artsy-fartsy cling-on Types like Patti Smith.
Who worked for/under Robert Mapplethorpe.
Spending many long hours helping organize and curate
Sam Wagstaffs dynamic photo collection.

Our political "system" is not set up to incentivize our elected "leaders" to actually fix or improve anything. Their top priorities are providing rhetoric to the base, fundraising and re-election.

I have also been to most Red States. All they have to offer is Walmart Super Center, Denny’s maybe a Pizza Hut if you want Italian and movie theater.
